Just wanted to say thank you to you all, sadly we lost our beautiful border collie Astle after a short battle with lymphoma. Alan was amazing and explained everything to us. He even took time to take pictures and sent a detailed letter to our insurance after they denied a claim for £2k and thankfully got accepted (I recommend not to go with Waggel- there insurance is not fit for purpose). I also wanted to say how amazing Amy your administrator is, she has been so helpful chasing the claim for us, she is a real asset to your team working behind the scenes. X

Brilliant Vets. We recently had to take our kakariki Artie to rosewood vets. Dr Antonio (I believe his name was) was recommended by our usual vets as being very good with birds. We had been to see bird specialists in the past in Birmingham and had awful experiences so we were very nervous about taking Artie. The receptionist was lovely and the vet spoke to Artie like he was a person not just a bird (which we had not experienced in the past by bird specialists) so we felt very comfortable with him. He was very mindful about what was best for Artie and that birds can get stressed very quickly. He gave Artie some antibiotics and told us to call back the next day if he was still alive so we weren’t wasting money buying the whole course of antibiotics if he wasn’t going to live. He was very genuine and treated us like he cared for Artie just as much. Unfortunately Artie passed away so my mom called the next day to cancel the antibiotics. We have just received a sympathy card, which we weren’t expecting. We are so pleased with this vets! We will definitely take our other animals there. Nowhere else I would trust with my birds.

Absolutely disgusting what they can get away with charging. I took my cat on the Monday morning as I noticed he wasn’t himself, he wasn’t eating or drinking and wasn’t interested in anything except sleeping. The vet checked him over and said he was dehydrated, which is understandable, and the only other thing he could find wrong was when he pressed on his bowels he seemed uncomfortable. He then started to mention blood test, urine test, and all these other tests that I didn’t really understand, but as a loving pet owner and my cats being like my babies, I just wanted him better so said what ever you think he needs. Long story short the bill was £1250 for a 2 day stay (not even overnight) on fluids and everything else they did that was certainly unnecessary. He actually came home after the first day and I had to take him back in the morning, I told the vets he seemed to have picked up and had eaten and drank and generally seemed to have improved….the vet said he wanted to keep him in again, at £122 for a day stay and £170 for fluids plus another £57 consultation fee, even tho they had seen him the day before…I’m not surprised. I genuinely believe all the tests were unnecessary, a day on fluids to me would have been enough and then sent home to keep an eye on him, then do further tests if there was no improvement after a few days…..this was probably no more than a bug or something, and I was scare mongered into loads of tests that didn’t need done. I’ve uploaded the receipts for viewing. This is not the end, I will be complaining in writing and if nothing is done I will be taking the matter further.

We needed to see a vet as soon as possible and our vets wouldn’t get us in for 5 days so phoned around and rosewoods seen us next day, we knew what was coming for our beloved 15 yr old girl zyla, rosewood made us feel like we didn’t have to rush in following through immediately and was so comforting as possible in such a heart wrenching situation, the communication between us leaving and getting zylas ashes back was realy good also, just want to say a massive thank you for treating us and our girl like we meant something other then about the payment realy appreciate all you done and would 100% recommend this vets, just wish it was for other reasons 💔💙

We recently had to take a poorly looking homeless cat here we named Oscar (the grouch! 😁) Great, friendly staff/vets. They took him in and liaised with the RSPCA to pay for his treatment (which they did, thankfully) We have been able to visit him, and thankfully he is doing much better. He now has a foster mom looking after him, and will hopefully be re-homed soon. He deserves a forever-home now, such a lovely, and loving cat. Anyway, thank you to all the staff/vets at Rosewood for taking him in and treating him for us, we are very grateful.
