Very rude service…I came here to sign over my dog which was a very hard decision, the vet could clearly see we were visibly upset and instead of having sympathy she was very rude. Her facial expressions, her attitude and the things she was saying was very judgemental and dismissive of our feelings! And they hardly allowed us to see and say goodbye to our dog before taking him away. We are absolutely devastated over the situation and this experience made it 10 times worse.

I highly recommend Summerwood Veterinary Surgery. The receptionist was lovely and managed to fit us in at short notice. William Easson is a fantastic vet — I felt my rabbit was genuinely well cared for, and that we were properly listened to. It’s rare to find a veterinary practice so accommodating and knowledgeable about rabbits, so I’d strongly recommend them to any rabbit owners. Thank you so much. 🐰

My GSD is very reactive to other dogs. The receptionists allowed us to stay outside in the car allowing my dog to be more settled to go in. I was surprised that the consultant came out to the car himself to take her in. They were all very thoughtful of my dogs needs and also to my worry. I can't thank you enough for the care you give to the both of us. I would highly recommend summerwood vets in blackwood. Thank you all so much for the care you provided to Chikio. Happy dog happy dog mama.

My dog went in for simple dental produce she wasn't right from the minute I brought her home shivering uncontrollably crying took her back and was told no infection so stronger antibiotics the next day which was a friday her eye had doubled in size and she was lethargic I thought she was dying i saw the vet friday so this was now Saturday so rushed her to emergency vet where they confirmed she had abscess Monday she had to have another produce but my dog is now blind in the 1 eye. The frustrating thing about it is when the vet did produce she said I should have taken more teeth out but she was hoping the gum would grow over them they was the teeth that caused all the problems and unnecessary suffering for over a wk for my poor dog and ended up having them out anyway im devastated and this could have been avoided

At the beginning of October our beloved family dog got put to sleep and I must say whoever was working on the desk at the time had no respect, the reception area should be kept as quiet as possible for a dog that is passing away but it wasn’t. My sister had to ask the vet to step out the room and ask them in reception to be quiet, then about 5-10 minutes after he had passed and we was having our time with him, the workers on reception then was laughing loudly despite knowing we was saying our goodbyes. To make it even worse someone from reception then walked in and asked for payment! And the candle that is on reception that should be lit at the time of a dog passing was not lit and if it was broken I think having some back ups would be a great idea. Although they may have assisted to me and let me come collect some of our dogs fur that does not excuse any of the disrespect that was given off on the day of his passing. To the woman vet (unsure of your name sorry) that assisted to my mum, dad and dog throughout his visits thank you for being so kind.
