I cannot recommend the Hyperthyroid Cat Centre (HCC) team enough. From initial enquiry to present day they have been caring, understanding and very very helpful! My cat is 15 and was extremely thin (circa 2kg) on admission and I had little faith the treatment would work, given her age and condition. We had her stay a whole 2 weeks in recovery with the team and received daily updates on her progress. Within a week of being back home she bounced back to her normal self, eating well and meowing loudly. We're 3 months post treatment now and she's thriving. For anyone wondering whether this treatment is worth it, I would say trust the process and the team, it definitely is. Thankfully we had insurance and they have paid everything without question. A huge thank you to the wonderful staff.

I recently took my cat to the Hyperthyroid Cat Centre in Wetherby for iodine treatment, and I couldn’t be happier with the care and support we received. From the very beginning, the whole process was made easy to understand and much less stressful as a worried pet owner. We had an in-depth phone consultation beforehand to discuss my cat’s overall health, individual needs, and the risks and benefits of treatment, which made me feel informed and reassured. While my cat was staying there, the team kept me updated and were always available to address any concerns or worries, which gave me real peace of mind. Two weeks on, it’s looking like the treatment has been successful and my cat is on the road to being cured of hyperthyroidism. The aftercare support has also been excellent, with clear and simple instructions for caring for my cat at home. Every member of staff was friendly, helpful, and genuinely caring—it was obvious they all have a real love for animals and want the very best outcome for every cat they treat. I looked at other places offering iodine treatment closer to home, but chose the Hyperthyroid Cat Centre because of their specialist experience and sole focus on this treatment. I’m so glad I did, and I would highly recommend them to anyone considering iodine treatment for their cat.

Would definitely, definitely recommend if you have a hyperthyroid cat! My little girl has been cured after her treatment at HCC, and is slowly getting back to herself pre hyperthyroidism. The care at the centre is beyond brilliant. I was very nervous about how my cat would settle during isolation, but the staff made sure she was living her best life! They gave me regular updates too so was a great comfort. A huge thanks as well for all the flexibility as I had quite differing blood results between my local vet and HCC so had to delay treatment with short notice, and the centre did all they could to fit her in around other life commitments! Great experience, great staff, and great cat decor / accessories in the centre too! Thanks - Maddy and Lola 😻

My 12 year old Nellie was loosing weight with really bad digestion. The local vets recommended the centre and once I had spoken to the insurance she was booked in. Nel stayed for 10 days and the staff were phenomenal. I never worried about her because they were so aware of her personality they clearly knew her well. She had hyperthyroidism and I am really pleased to say she is cured. She is still in isolation due to having a kitten but she is putting weight on, her tummy issues are sorted and I am letting her into the garden in the evening and when she comes in she runs straight to her isolation room. She is just wonderful. Thank you to the centre for giving me my girl back

My cat, Binx, went in for a two week stay and staff were so helpful and lovely. From updates everyday to always answering any questions I have. They treat Binx as if she was one of their own, which of course put my mind more at ease with her being away from home. I’m also ecstatic to say she’s cured!!! Couldn’t believe it when I went to pick her up, I was able to see a difference immediately from before the treatment. Would so highly recommend this centre and thank you again to all of the fabulous staff, couldn’t ask for better.

From start to finish the HCC provided an exemplary service and I would not hesitate in recommending them. Our cat is now ten weeks post RI treatment and she is doing really well: eating, playing, putting on weight and a lot more happy - and we are happier too as we don't have to worry about Hyperthyroidism affecting her health. Thank you to all the staff at the centre - you could not do what you do any better.

It's just over 12 months now since we brought George home, please see by the picture that he is thoroughly enjoying his 17th birthday. Without his visit to the clinic this would not be possible. We are so happy that George is cured. We highly recommend that if you can get this treatment you should. Thank you for everything that you did to help him and for allowing George to enjoy his life again.
