I have recently moved into town and naturally finding a new vets is very daunting and scary. Stumbling upon these guys was the best scenario possible for me. I feel welcomed and not judged, me and my pup are cared for within the facility and I am always satisfied after my appointment. This place generally cares about your dog, it doesn’t feel like a money making scheme because it’s horrible feeling pushed to do the wrong thing… I couldn’t recommend them enough. Me and my pup Ethel are very happy here and I never thought I would say that.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ When our beloved French Bulldog Bunnie was distressed, convulsing and clearly in a lot of pain, The Village Veterinary Centre in Smallfield gave us hope when things were looking very bleak. After struggling to find help, despite trying several specialist places, the compassionate receptionist here understood our emergency and miraculously made space to see us right away. What truly sets this practice apart is their profound understanding of both the medical and emotional aspects of pet care. When we arrived with Bunnie, knowing we had made the heartbreaking decision to give her peace, the vet and nurse came out to our car. Their gentle, professional approach - from the tender way they secured the cannula with elastoplast, to the thoughtful addition of a red bandage afterwards to ensure no bleeding - made an unbearable moment as peaceful as possible. Their sensitivity extended beyond the medical care - they minimized all administrative aspects, simply taking our email for later correspondence about the individual cremation arrangements. No discussion of payment in the moment; their focus was entirely on Bunnie and our family's needs. In a time when we felt helpless and heartbroken, their immediate response and exceptional compassion made all the difference. They transformed what could have been a traumatic experience into a peaceful goodbye. For anyone seeking a veterinary practice that truly understands that pets are family, I cannot recommend The Village Veterinary Centre highly enough. Thank you for giving our sweet Bunnie, and us, such gentle care in her final moments.

We've had to take both our Lurchers there in the last couple of months, the staff fitted us them in very quickly and did a great job with both of them. They were great with both dogs, 1 of them is very nervous around vets, but they were very patient with him, and the other 1 needed to have a wound stitched up, they took great care of her. Highly recommend this vets.

Everyone is so friendly and helpful, making what can be a tough or emotional time very calm and easy. The staff always recognise our pets, and ask after one if we bring the other in. We originally joined when moving into the area because it was the only local vet offering the Healthy Pet Club we had been part of with our previous vets but have stuck with them through several house moves as we are so happy with the service.

Registered my cat here today and used to take my dog to the practice before he sadly passed away. Very friendly, informative and professional staff. The service is very reasonably priced and the pet care plans are great. I'm very happy I returned to the practice. A big thank you to all the team.
