Last week our cat came home unable to use his front leg, he’d managed to get home but was weak and quite limp, we assumed he had been hit by a car. We called the animal hospital and were asked to come in immediately. When we arrived the team were warm and efficient and had soon managed to put our minds at ease that our cat hadn’t been hit by a car and was therefore not in any pain. They diagnosed an embolism, and ultimately heart failure and unfortunately we had to say goodbye to our boy. They could not have done more to comfort us and try to make an incredibly sad situation bearable. They took their time, allowed us as long as we needed to say goodbye and were so kind and caring. I can’t thank them enough for that. I thoroughly recommend this animal hospital and its staff.

Request a fully broken down invoice before consenting to work, not upfront about cost. Had our cat spayed by the caterham village vets as they were taking surgeries over the holidays while our local village vets wasn't, staff were very nice and polite and very informative on the process. I was given the upfront cost (verbally, no printed invoice) of £180 for spay and microchip, and consented to a £100 blood test (although that was rough figure as no one could tell me exact cost), payed a £150 down payment and left. Picked my cat up in the afternoon and was requested an additional £190 payment, although I didn't question it at the time due to the concern of comfort for my cat, i eventually figured out I've been over charged by at least £50. At a post-op check with my local village vets I queried the cost, they were able to pull up a full invoice that showed I've been charged for meds and numbing injections that should of been included in the cost of the surgery, I've been charged twice! Luckily my local vets were able to credit the cost and refund me the £55 I've been over charged. Good vets, but please be more upfront with cost! In these hard times that £55 could of put a real struggle on some people's hands, this is not a time to get greedy.

This place is amazing. I can’t rate it highly enough. My dog was so nervous and aggressive at our old vets. These guys settled her in with confidence clinics, tennis balls and treats. She now barks in excitement as soon as we’ll pull up! She waits patiently in the waiting area for Elise to come out with a ball. I couldn’t be happier.

Thank you so much to all the staff at the hospital who cared for our darling Lola, especially Sally. You were all amazing and understood totally what we were going thro. When it came to helping Lola over the rainbow bridge, Sally couldn't of been more lovely. We felt blessed that at the end she was dealt with by loving, caring people. It will take a long time to get over our loss and life will never be the same without Lola but you all made an awful, sad situation a little more bareable. X

The Caterham Cats Hotel is an amazing place. My two boys Ace and Merlin spent 10 days there and were so well looked after. Merlin, was an unique case, he was recovering a major post RTA trauma and operation and required a special care. Emma, Kerstin and Tanya plus all the veterinary and night staff of the hospital made sure he was comfortable and well looked after. We received daily updates with pictures of our boys which kept our mind at peace. I don’t think there is any other place in the UK like this. I just can’t thank enough to all for looking after my boys. They returned home happy if a little spoiled demanding as much attention as they received in the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel, if you need to leave your kitties behind, this is the best place. Thank you to all at Caterham Village Cat Hotel, particularly Emma, Kerstin and Tanya. 😘😘😘
