Vets Now - Newport

We took our Cat Apollo down to the emergency vets after he got stung by a bee (on the mouth) he was taken care or quickly and then Amy the amazing vet came and explained to us what has happened what her game plan was she was so clear, so kind and so understanding. Thank you Amy! (PS he was still loud on the way home after being given his meds lol!)

After my great Dane suddenly passed away at home on Easter Monday I didn't know what to do. My local vet number passed me through to Vets Now Newport. They were kind and empathetic on the phone and told me I could take Enzo down that evening. They got 2 extra staff members to help my partner and I carry him in and place him in a quiet room on his own and allowed us both time with him. Leaving him alone there was the hardest thing I've ever had to do, but was made easier by the brilliant staff. Highly recommend using this vets and a thank you to all the staff who helped with Enzo.

Absolutely amazing service from start to finish. From the moment we arrived with Lily she was a priority and seen straight away. They were very thorough, kept me updated regularly and referred her to a cardiologist who saw her on the same day. So grateful for them saving my beautiful girl

Through such a stressful and emotional time, I can’t thank the staff enough for the care and support they gave my cat. Their compassion, professionalism, and dedication helped her recover so quickly. The constant communication, regular calls and texts with updates, truly showed how much they care about their patients (and their owners!). Exemplary care given to our dog, Bugsy, who was seriously ill after eating rotten food on Christmas Eve. We had phoned ahead and a nurse was waiting to take him into the surgery. A vet came out to explain what treatment would be necessary, along with the estimated cost, which I’m aware they are obliged to do. The whole team were very kind and reassuring in a very stressful scenario. We were kept updated by text overnight, so we knew our dog had stabilised and was recovering, which was a massive relief and we were able to collect him on the morning of Christmas Day. I would strongly recommend Vets Now in Newport to anyone for their professionalism coupled with compassion.

Visited on Sunday evening. They were the closest emergency vet to my home. Jasp was triaged very quickly by a lovely nurse, who treated him with care and compassion. Kate, the vet was superb, she listened to me and was incredibly thorough. Throughout our visit both Jasp and I were looked after by a really professional team. Thank you all.

Charged us over 2k. And this is the result!!! Due to poor care and lack of diagnosis from one of the vets at the Newport vets now. She let my dog go home with a fever and a severe infection and swollen foot full of abscess without draining it. Just over one night it developed to the point the abscess destroyed my dogs foot ripping his skin apart. My dog now has to have one of his fingers chopped off on his front left paw. as it’s dead with no blood going to it anymore and that’s the only option due to the vet not draining it before it was too late and not diagnosing him letting him go home. Thanks to your vet my dog won’t be able to go on walks for weeks to come, almost died due to the high fever and how bad the infection spread up his leg! He was moments from being too late. The different vet that saved my dog is a hero and was shocked that it was left over night. Shame on your vet and the lack of professionalism!
