My experience with Walton Lodge was very different from the care we have at Max & Min Vets. The service was expensive, and there were often hidden charges added on top of the expected costs. The vet who saw my boy seemed uneasy around him, which made him anxious and scared. It took time with our new vet to rebuild his confidence and reassure him that check-ups are safe. Several unnecessary tests were recommended, while the ones that were actually needed were overlooked. Staff also seemed to change frequently (vets especially), creating inconsistency and a generally stressful environment. Switching from WLV to Max & Min was honestly the best decision we made for our dogs.

Walton Lodge Veterinary Practice is a wonderful place, filled with caring and dedicated people. All of the vets, nurses, and reception staff are incredibly kind, professional, and understanding — you can really tell how much they care about both pets and their owners. Scott, one of the vets at Walton Lodge, is especially kind and has a remarkable connection with animals. My dog, who is usually very nervous, absolutely loves him — his calm and gentle manner puts her completely at ease. It’s clear that he, like the rest of the team, genuinely loves what he does. From the warm welcome at reception to the attentive care in the consultation room, every visit feels positive and reassuring. Walton Lodge combines professionalism with real compassion, and I couldn’t recommend them more highly for anyone looking for exceptional veterinary care.

My mum's cat went to stevenage Walton Lodge for a health check they found she had a bad heart but there was no signs of illness she was a bright happy playful cat and was eating and drinking she had to go to ware for a heart scan once again she was absolutely fine before hand when she came out she was not her self she was wobbly and refusing food and water she went down hill over the next few days so we took her back to stevenage and they couldn't say what was wrong and to contact a specialist unfortunately she died in my mum's arms the day after we have got no answers to what happened to our beautiful bright happy cat that had not a single sign of illness before she went to the ware practice they also never told us to starve her before the procedure and they knew she might of eaten and still went ahead with it so we 100% blame the ware practice for her death someone there knows what has happened to her but are not giving us the answers we need

I recently took my 15-year-old dog to this clinic and was deeply impressed by the professionalism and compassion of the entire staff. 🐾 From the reception to the veterinarians, everyone showed patience, kindness, and true care – not only for my dog’s needs, but also for my emotions as an owner. The vet explained everything clearly, answered all my questions with calm and empathy, and made sure I understood each step of the treatment. It is obvious that animals here are treated with love as well as medical knowledge. I wholeheartedly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for not just excellent veterinary care, but also people who genuinely put their hearts into what they do. Thank you so much for the wonderful care and support you provided to my beloved companion. ❤️

We have been with this vet for both of our dogs for a number of years now and I would never go elsewhere. Everyone is extremely friendly, kind and knowledgeable. I totally trust this clinic with our fur babies and couldn’t recommend it enough! Thank you for always taking such good care of us!
