Visited the surgery today with Chip (one of my cleft lip spaniels) with a hook claw that had cut into, and ulcerated a pad in his paw. Chip is the strongest little dog I have ever known, and has been banned from all the local groomers as he barrel rolls and fights whenever ANYONE goes near his paws. I wish I’d remembered their names (to thank them properly) as the two girls really went the extra mile, and were amazing in quickly and efficiently clipping all the nails on all 4 paws, while Chip fought to the best of his ability! Chip is the happiest little dog, and one of the girls remembered me bringing him (and his cleft lip half brother Fluke) when he was only a day or two old. Cleft lip pups can’t suckle, so have to be hand reared, and there are vets out there who out and out refuse to have anything to do with cleft lip pups, but these guys were so helpful and supportive and Chip and Fluke enjoy getting out to The Lake District, Cornwall, and anywhere our Motorhome will take us! To think that the breeders advised to euthanise them both ! Well done guys, Top marks!!!

I took my nine month old cat, Ace, for his castration this morning and usually, I walk away a blubbering wreck because I hate leaving my cats for surgery; but not today, It was love at first sight. The vet fell in love with Ace and Ace fell in love with the vet! I could tell straight away the vet knew cats and she just let Ace walk around freely in the examination room, so he felt comfortable. Within a minute, Ace was rolling on her feet and his heart rate, which was severely elevated on arrival, had returned to a more normal rate, as he relaxed. I left Ace in the capable arms of the vet, who was incredible with him and very reassuring. One thing that has never happened before, was I was asked what food Ace liked, so they could give him something to eat post op! As a cat Mum, it's the little things that make so much difference. The ladies at reception were so lovely too; all smiles and genuinely kind and reassuring too. I received a lovely phone call to tell me Ace was doing great post surgery and was comfortable and I honestly felt I'd left him in the most capable hands. Thank you to you all for taking such great care of Ace.....and me!!

Could not rate more highly. My elderly cat was seen straight away - the receptionist was very compassionate to my obvious distress, and the vet was calm and experienced and able to treat him and clearly explain how to care for him with his medication. He is now starting to get better and I am delighted. Even if there hadn't been such a happy outcome, I feel confident they would have dealt with everything in a gentle manner and done all they could for us. Fabulous vetinary surgery!

I have been taking my dogs to this practice for over 10 years, I have always found my experiences to be excellent at all levels, the practice is extremely clean. The reception staff are very helpful and nurses are amazing. The vets explain everything about your pets condition and how to manage it with clear and concise treatment plans. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
