We had a good experience at the practice. Buddy was very claim and not stressed in the least. His aftercare was explained in detail to me so there was no concerns. Also, procedure was very quick and I was kept up-to-date at all time. Very happy with service.

I have a nervous, reactive Romanian rescue dog. I’ve felt like the whole team at Abercorn have done everything to make the surgery in Portobello a safe place for my dog and to work with me on her needs. She successfully got her yearly jags yesterday with minimum stress. I am so grateful for the way they work with her.

We have used Abercorn vets for several years now, our previous dog had several health issues and Abercorn were always happy to assist in her health needs and any rehabilitation and after care that may have been required, help was also forthcoming when aid and assistance was needed for insurance purposes, our present dog (Roxy) is an American bulldog crossed with a large Staffordshire bull terrier, being a large and clumsily energetic dog she has managed to require both her knees to be rebuilt with titanium implants and Abercorn vets organized the operations and oversaw the long rehabilitation that was required, she has a difficult temper mentality and requires a confident veterinarian to administer any medication, once while Roxy was sick and needed immediate attention I took her to tour local veterinarian who stood behind a counter (shaking) and refused to help her, both Roxy and ourselves are happy and confident with the care and professionalism that is always afforded to use when we are required to visit this establishment

Abercorn vets in Portobello have always been great with our pets, and yesterday was no exception. Our 2.5-year old dog Nico, who gets extremely anxious at the vets, needed his booster jab and I was worried about how he would react. But James was really gentle with Nico and understanding about his anxieties, and got the job done expertly. I’ll feel a lot more relaxed about getting his jabs the next time. The staff on reception were great too, and gave Nico plenty of treats on our way out. They also suggested dropping in with Nico now and then to get a treat and help him get more used to being in there. Great idea. Thanks to all! 🐾

My little old man was very unwell and tired towards the end. The care and love the vet shown at this time was amazing. She was so lovely and made the moment easier. My boy looked like he just slipped peacefully. The after care was amazing also. I requested his footprints and I received a beautiful paw print in a keepsake box along with prints of his nose and a little glass bottle of his fur. A handwritten card and a pkt if forget me knot seeds. I was not expecting all that. These vets are caring and professional and not just doing their job the genuinely care. So thank u abercorn vets for making my little patch last moments comfortable.
