Very disappointing experience. We discovered an injured baby bird in our backyard and, after our regular veterinary clinic was closed, their voicemail directed us to contact this location. Unfortunately, the staff member I spoke with was dismissive and repeatedly interrupted me while I was trying to explain the situation. I was also surprised to be told to contact a charity because the bird might be injured, rather than being offered any meaningful guidance or assistance. The interaction felt unprofessional and lacking in compassion.

They really are just a money oriented machine. The vets are always scaring you to the very worst case scenarios. One of the receptionists is particularly horrible and aggressive. They are lovely when they are putting your credit card in the machine but if you have any issues or problems with their process or procedure then they develop a terrible attitude. The vets themselves show no compassion at all. It’s all about the money, nothing more.

I can't recommend Albany highly enough. The whole team - Jim, Anna, Jessica, everyone we have spoken to - are incredibly caring and professional. They have taken amazing care of our elderly cat's hypertension and promptly sought expert advice when she started showing signs of Conns syndrome too. She has now had surgery by a fantastic visiting vet (Catherine) and is recovering well. Jim takes the time to explain everything and always keeps you updated. The nursing team are also excellent when she needs bloods, something she doesn't enjoy at all but they make it a less stressful experience!

Do not recommend Have not been treated well and decided to take my dog to another vet (glad I did). Unprofessional, uncooperative staff and a very bad service. Avoid

Dixon declined too much on this vet's watch. We joined June 24, when he was drinking and peeing loads more than normal, but it wasn't until June 25 that he was finally diagnosed with Cushing's. Severe body decline, mini-stroke... trauma. We didn’t need fancy tests, just the right ones, earlier! I managed to stabilise him while finding a new vet, and today bloods confirmed it. Now we rebuild, but not all of him will recover. Sad.

I can’t recommend Albany Vets highly enough. All of the team - vets, nurses and administrative staff - are absolutely lovely. They treated our beloved Siamese cat, who had two non-curable chronic health conditions, with such genuine care and kindness, and did everything they could to help us keep him going for as long as possible. Sadly, we had to let him go OTRB a few weeks ago, but we will be forever grateful for all the support, compassion and professionalism we received from everyone at Albany along that difficult journey. Thanks to all of you.
