Animal Trust in Bolton is the way forward. After being fleeced by my old vet ( big company)... I wish I had been with Animal Trust 10 years ago. I have just saved £1000 having the operation for my pooch with Animal Trust in Bolton. Thank you very much. They were amazing. Highly recommended. Jane B

My nearly 12 year old Doberman Dino currently suffers with arthritis affecting his rear quarters with it in his lower spine. Last week he presented as exceedingly week and seemed unable to raise his head above shoulder height - even with the offer of a sausage treat! Unheard of for this pooch. A call to the Animal Trust in Bolton and could be there in 30 minutes...Yes! They were fantastic. We saw the vet Maria within 5 minutes of our arrival and went over him with a fine tooth comb and assured us we were right to bring him in.... He's now on some anti inflammitories for a few days and we will check on how we proceed after that......We were listened to, advised of what to expect and that Dino's best interests were uppermost in his consultation. Thank you to the team at Bolton, from the receptionist taking our initial call from a very weepy owner our vet that day.... Thank you!

We visited the out of hours pet a&e on Sunday with out unwell dog. We are registered with another branch of Animal Trust and were signposted here when we’d called to ask for an appointment. I have always found that Animal Trust are very transparent about costs and will inform you upfront before you progress. It’s easy to find, lots of parking (it was the weekend). The staff on the main desk were lovely, friendly and professional. We didn’t wait long and were seen by the vet - Will, who was fantastic with our dog, and absolutely brilliant with two worried owners. Our dog had a full assessment and some necessary blood tests. All was managed calmly, with lots of reassurance and explaining throughout. We came away with a treatment plan, prescription medications and a follow up appointment. It’s been a few days now and our pooch is on the mend, we’re taking her back to our local Animal Trust tomorrow for follow up. We’re really grateful Animal Trust exists and appreciate the care and dedication they show to our pets, the prices are reasonable compared to other vets and the team are all so good, you can tell it’s not just a job and they’re there for the love of animals. A big thanks from us 💚

I’ve been with Animal Trust Bolton for many years, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. My dog is always treated so well, and I’ve never had any issues. It’s great to have a vet who doesn’t charge for consultations, and the prices for treatments are very fair and reasonable, which is a refreshing change from other practices where costs are ridiculously high. The staff are always friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable. They take the time to answer all my questions and make both me and my dog feel comfortable every visit. The new online booking system is brilliant, no more waiting on the phone. You can book appointments in advance or get same-day slots from 8:30 that day, which is incredibly convenient. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I took my dog to the Animal Trust for a CT scan and TECA operation the cost was a quarter of what my vets were asking, they wanted a total of £7,500 for the same procedure that did not include an overnight stay in the hospital which he needed afterwards to be observed and pain relief. They were brilliant from start to finish, I was reminded of my appointment the day before. I contacted them twice to check on my dog and they gave me a full update on his progress. I recommend the Animal Trust to every pet owner I meet and tell them of the obscene cost my vets tried to charge me. This is a no brainer to register your pet with them. They also have a pet plan for £19.50 per month, for this you get free yearly booster, wormer, flea, 2 in-house lab tests per year, free consultation but you have to pay for medication but it is at a discounted price, prescriptions should you find the same medication cheaper online is totally free. This monthly subscription is very handy to have and goes hand in hand with your pet insurance. I would recommend Animal Trust to anyone from the reception staff, Nurses and the very qualified Vetinary staff. Thank you so much for taking great care of my boy, I cannot thank you enough.

I have a 3 yrs old French bulldog Leo. He had a problem with his right hind leg,, he had started to “hop” when he walked. We first went to Animal Trust Bolton in April 2025, My previous Vet in Leigh wanted me to pay approx £5000 UPFRONT Despite Leo having £12,500 available Insurance. The locum Vet Adam diagnosed Leo with Luxating Patella Grade 1 At this point nothing needed to be done. In October we saw BRANDON the Orthopaedic Vet. He is SO knowledgable, he invited me to take a seat, why we had a chat. I immediately put my trust in him to look after Leo. First Leo had to loose weight - He was 15.2 he is now 14.4, he needs to be 14kg, but its “work in progress” I changed him to a raw diet, what I weigh out. I didn't want Leo to have surgery, and Brandon respected this. In November Leo had an X-ray. But by Christmas, Brandon said the time that Leo now had surgery On 21/1/26 Leo had surgery Brandon asked one of his colleagues JAMES from Animal Trust in Ellesmere Port, to come to Bolton to do Leos Surgery We are now in the 8 weeks recovery period 🙏🙏 After 3 months of many Vet Consultations, an X-ray, medication and now surgery, the total bill is £1,500 That is a MASSIVE PRICE DIFFERENCE and for BETTER Vet care. ALL the Staff are lovely. I usually email and I always get a response to my question, within 30 mins JACQULINE on Reception is so friendly, nothing is too much trouble, she treats all the Clients with respect and empathy, delivered with a smile. WELL DONE TO YOU ALL ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “ ITS A 10 from me” ( This a photo of my beautiful boy Leo 💙)

My beautiful girl was spayed recently. She was looked after so well by the receptionists, nurses and vets. She got lots of cuddles and has always been super excited for a trip to the vets after her operation. They do great work here for affordable prices. She has recovered so fast from the surgery & it hasn’t slowed her down at all, she’s still a crazy girl! 💖

My English bulldog, Blanche woke up very poorly this morning. Our original vet diagnosed a growth in her ovary and quoted an outrageous £8000 for the surgery (a quote which seemed like it was written on the back of a cigarette packet) Seeking affordable alternatives I found Animal Trust and asked my original vet to send over her paperwork. My original vet attempted to refuse to do so, illegally and Animal Trust advised me on this on their webchat. Later on I became concerned further about Blanches health and called the Bolton branch. Even though the referal had not been processed yet they agreed to let me take her in as a out of hours case. I was much more reassured by the advice of the vet who I also learned was involved in an English bulldog rescue so felt much more confident in her advice. I also noted the vet prescribed appropriate medication which I don't believe the original vet did. Blanche has already perked up only 3 hours later. Kirsty the receptionist was lovely and very helpful and the vet who's name I didn't catch left us feeling very confident in blanches prognosis. The prices here are much more reasnoble than most private vets and I'm really happy so far. I look forward to continuing to use Animal Trust as blanche recovers. Please pass on my sincere thanks to all involved.
