Although reception staff and the male vet are very friendly.I was quoted over £900 for my cats dental work by them. Went to Donaldsons who charged half of that for the same job. When I bought my kitten I took out an insurance policy and called Calder vets same day to register him. They gave me an appointment a day or two later for his first routine check and vaccination. In that very first visit the vet checked his teeth and told me looks like he has very slight gingivitis and top teeth look to be digging into gums slightly. Straight away put that on his record which has turned into a pre existing condition for future and the insurance is now as good as pointless.

Very good for service and looking after the pets , which is the important bit, but, yes there is a but. The medicines are horrendously overpriced compared to online, at times 5 times the price. Get the prescription and order online for follow ups, don't buy the repeat there.

I have used Calder vets for quite a long time now they understand my dogs needs they are really good. They are really friendly and they are highly qualified and they have really good Vets. I called them once, cause my dog were bleeding from the back end. They went bring her down now. I got there the vet was already waiting for me.And my pet The vet examined and she knew what it was straightaway big thanks to Calder vets in Brighouse are really good

I cannot recommend Calder Vets Brighouse enough! I’ve been a client of theirs for just over a year and every time I visit the staff are always so friendly and welcoming to me and my 2 cats. It makes me feel very valued and reassured, so thank you!

I’ve had over 20 years of experience with my animals at Calder vets Brighouse & occasionally other branches, also the specialist hospital when needed. I have always been happy with the care my 3 dogs have received over the years from the beginning of their lives with me & very importantly at the end. I have known many changing staff members and they have always been pleasant , caring & compassionate. Thank you.

Finally the day came after 14 years our beautiful dog Lexie had to go to her final resting place. She was part of our family so it was very painful. However, Amanda and all the team could not have been more compassionate, caring and professional. We weren't rushed at all, nothing was too much. Lexie passed away so peacefully. Amanda was brilliant in explaining everything before we made our decision. We cannot thank them enough and have no hesitation in recommending this practice in Brighouse to anyone. Thank you from all the family.
