CVS Vets are experienced, friendly and empathetic and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Between helping me with feral cats and my own cat, I can't fault them and I think their costs are reasonable too. It's nice to be able to call to get an appointment booked, and they will also give advice over the phone if needed. The reception staff are very knowledgeable too, thank you all especially Natalie, Rachel, Gemma and Shelley.

We sent our Doberman for a small surgery to have a lump the size of 5 pence piece removed. Where quoted approximately £900, were charged £1600. What followed next was nothing short of disgusting. At the post operation appointment the clinician advised she had a benign malignant tumour, obviously this is not possible it is either one or the other. When challenged this was not dealt with and no explanation provided for this ridiculous diagnoses. I asked for the Surgery Director to call me on a number of occasions however the Director hid behind their staff. Our beautiful dog has a permanent 5 inch scar on her back permanently disfiguring her. This was unnecessary. Stitches were left in her that should have been removed. When I refused to pay the final £100 excess until I received adequate information and an explanation from the Director Camlas immediately attempted to scare me with debt recovery for the £100. I am in the process of sending the details of our experience to the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons RCVS. My mother has a similar experience in being quoted £800 for an xray and charged £1600 for an xray and overnight stay for her cat. Speaking to people locally this appears to be a common theme with quoting and charging. Needless to say our animals are now being seen by another practise. Be warned about charging and our experience has been that of misdiagnosis and no responsibility taken by the Director. Photo taken 1 year after surgery

We are always made to feel welcome at Camlas in Welshpool. We have two dogs and enjoy the continuity of care from a regular vet , unless it’s been for an emergency. All the vets work as a team here . They have always displayed knowledge and kindness . The reception staff are so friendly & helpful . They genuinely seem to love my dogs & all the staff there have been excellent caring for us all for the last three and a half years

Today we had Kerry the vet and she was marvellous. She listened carefully to everything I said and we had a real discussion about my dogs eyes. She was so calm and caring with him too so he was less scared. I'll be asking for her again. Thank you so much. The lovely ladies at the desk and mopping were also lovely and so helpful.
