For both my boys, Craig and the team at Sturry Vets4Pets have been incredibly professional, kind and compassionate. Alfie has been well looked after with his transition to blindness and dental work, and Eddie with his anxiety issues. I have never felt more comfortable with a vet as I have in the hands of Craig (and the team), and I can’t recommend them enough. Even through the tough times, as today was, they were exceptional and I’m glad to have them as my vet.

Vets 4 pets in Canterbury Kent has provided such a horrendous experience. My fur baby Rosie (Cavapoo) was getting spayed on Friday 10th April. I got a call at 13.25 from a nurse to ask if Rosie had an issue with her front leg as she won’t move it. I confirmed that she had no issues I had even taken her for a walk prior to going to the vets and she was fine. At 4.30pm I went to collect her as I was asked to I was left waiting for 25 mins to then be told she had a dislocated shoulder and couldn’t move her front leg. They had to put her leg back in the socket so she had to go under anaesthetic again. I was beside myself as something had obviously happened to her whilst in their care. They said they don’t know how it happened but whatever happened must have been with some force and she must have been in a lot of pain. The crux of the story is that one of the owners Craig has told me he thinks it’s reasonable to charge me for the pain relieve for the dislocation and he told me that they hadn’t charged me for the x/rays or procedure to put Rosie’s leg back in the joint, he said it like I should be grateful. I don’t care about the £20 or £30 it is the absolute audacity of it and then for him to get the hump with me about it, my baby has been in so much pain she can’t walk I have to even carry her and hold her when she goes for a wee. We haven’t slept properly since it happened. A simple apology and taking responsibility would have been appreciated but to charge me for the pain relief is just absurd and down right disgraceful. Just to add the service was generally bad the vet we had to see the next morning actually had to ask me which leg it was, she was not able to explain the bill neither was the receptionist. I found the whole experience extremely unpleasant and unorganised. Rosie has had to have surgery by another veterinarian she has had to have screws to secure the joint back, some flexible strong surgical material inserted and screws to secure her ligaments she may also have nerve damage. She can’t walk for 6 weeks I have to keep her couped up in a baby play pen and carry her for her toilets. They have ruined my baby and ruined my life for the next couple of months I don’t know how I am going to work and pay my bills.

I was really disappointed with my experience at Vets4Pets Sturry Rd. When I called to enquire about the complete care plan and register my puppy, the receptionist sounded like she wanted to rush me off the phone and was irritated. She even told me to “wait and see” if I wanted to keep my puppy before registering her, all while speaking to other people in the background. Overall, the interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional, and it certainly didn’t feel welcoming for a new pet owner with questions.

We had the most horrific week last week when our beloved chihuahua Luna developed sickness at only 8 years old. She went downhill quickly and Natalia and the team at Vets4Pets did everything they could to help her. Beyond this though, they brought over tissues when I was crying waiting for one of the appointments and they dealt delicately with a situation that was heartbreaking for us as a family whilst we were also juggling work and a young child. We are still coming to terms with Luna not being here anymore but receiving these beautiful flowers today made us smile. Thank you for being human and for showing care and empathy, it meant the world to us all.

Very friendly and efficient service. The vet has explained clearly on examining my pet it’s general health and what it might need in the future regarding his teeth.
