Welcome to The Barton Veterinary Hospital, located in the beautiful town of Canterbury, Kent, England. With a team of highly qualified and experienced veterinary surgeons and nurses, we are here to provide top-quality care for your beloved pets.

Our practice is open from Monday to Saturday, with extended hours to ensure that we can accommodate even the busiest of schedules. On weekdays, we open at 8:30 AM, and we are available until 6:00 PM. On Saturdays, we open at 9:00 AM and close at 1:00 PM. Our practice is closed on Sundays to give our team some well-deserved rest.

We take pride in offering a range of services to cater for all your veterinary needs. Our practice caters to a variety of species, including cats, dogs, exotic pets, wild animals, and small mammals. Our facilities include a client car park, disabled access, and referral interests, making it easy for you to come see us.

Our team is made up of veterinary specialists and advanced practitioners. Our veterinary surgeons are Dr Vanessa Nicola Le Mer, a CertVOphthal MRCVS, and Mr Daniel Shaw, a VetMB BA CertAVP(VDI) MRCVS. They are also the directors of the practice. Our veterinary nurses are Mrs Louisa Carey, Miss Sophia Courtney, Miss Hannah Davis, Mrs Jasmine Fisher, and Miss Jenny Gooderham. They provide care and support during consultations, procedures, and surgeries. Dr Susanne Bishaey, an MRCVS, and Dr Kirtika Dharmani, a BVSc BSc(Hons) MRCVS, are both consultants and provide support for more complex cases. Mr Mark Hurst, a BVetMed CertVR CertSAS MRCVS, is our resident orthopaedic specialist and provides surgical care for animals.
