Been using this vets for several years. Always pleasant. Vet, Joanne is lovely and really makes you feel she cares for animals.

Was seen by Jo on time, who advised me on options were and the best course of treatment. Was quickly given a cost estimate. Very happy with the care and service.

Receptionist were lovely. No one was in but the vet was running late so had to wait 20 mins ( to be fair I arrived ten minutes early) . Vet was quite cold - maybe she was having a bad day. I tried to give my dog treats during her injection as per her plan and notes ( as below ) but was told I was not allowed to. I then asked the vet if she could clip her claws and she said they were too short already - they are quite long as per the photo. I feel like she didn’t want to be there. She then handed me 5 tablets for parasites instead of six and said that is all they have in stock. My dog is on a monthly plan so it should have been 6 tablets. She didn’t give me any information about how to get the last tablet. All in all lovely reception staff and nurse - just the actual vet was the problem. I hope she is not like this everyday but maybe someone from Goddard could reach out and see if she needs support.

Very unhelpful. I requested simple information about my pet and requested to book an appointment for his vaccinations. Instead I was rushed off the phone, ill advised costing me time need to book him in for an urgent matter and told they’d send me an email and call me back in their own time. Unacceptable

I’m deeply concerned by the number of reviews that echo my recent experience with the primary vet at this branch. I left feeling judged and genuinely confused at how poor the service could be in an environment that should prioritize care and compassion. The vet didn’t even offer a simple “hello,” which set the tone for a cold, unwelcoming interaction from the start. What’s especially concerning is how many other reviews mention the same issues - cold, standoffish behavior, lack of empathy, and a judgmental attitude from the primary vet. This doesn’t seem to be an isolated experience, which makes it even more troubling. That said, I want to highlight that the receptionists have always been warm, friendly, and professional. I’ll be moving to a different branch in hopes of finding a more compassionate and respectful environment for both myself and my pets.

I recently visited the vet with my almost 2-year-old dog, who has never shown signs of aggression before. However, during the visit, he became distressed and growled out of fear while having his temperature taken. This is understandable given the unfamiliar environment and the discomfort of the procedure. While the vet ( Joanne) did explain the issue my dog was experiencing today, as well as the process of neutering for the future, I was deeply disappointed in her approach( one of the things being that this kind of breed husky to be more specific are aggressive, being told quite a few times during the consult I did not appreciated one bit) She made no effort to comfort or calm my dog, and there was a noticeable lack of empathy throughout the visit. I was hoping for reassurance, both for myself and for my dog, but instead, the vet’s demeanor felt cold and emotionless. I left the clinic feeling shaken, as I was expecting a more compassionate and understanding approach, especially from someone working with animals. I hope this feedback encourages the clinic to prioritise empathy and create a more supportive environment for pets and their owners in the future.

They have looked after our cats for the last twenty years. Sadly one of them was put to sleep today. We cannot thank them enough for the care they have given Molly over the years. They were so thoughtful and considerate today when Molly was put to sleep. What we thought would be a living nightmare turned out to be very peaceful and beautiful. Thank you to all the staff for caring for both Molly and family. 😸♥️
