Harrison Family Vets - Mosborough

I wasn’t happy with my previous vet after one of my cats was treated there and have been looking to swap to another vet. Harrison’s has recently opened in Mosborough, a few minutes away from my house. I registered my cats with them & went in the next morning just after they opened to book an appointment for my youngest cat who has a worsening skin condition. I was given an appointment for 3pm the same day. The clinic is immaculate and the staff are exceptionally welcoming & friendly. My cat hasn’t been to a vet or in a carrier since his castration and was trembling he was so scared. The reception staff showed me to a waiting booth for cats where there was calming spray and towels to cover his carrier. We then saw the vet who listened to everything I said regarding my cat’s fur loss, flea treatments, diet etc. He was amazing with my very scared little kitty. Normally, my cat doesn’t really let anyone touch him as he’s very timid, but he was obviously comfortable with the vet as he let him stroke him/pick him up/weigh him. The vet explained what was causing the skin problems and how it needed to be treated. He also explained why all the things I’d tried before hadn’t worked, which was helpful to understand. I got quite upset in the consultation, as I’m a single mum to a disabled child and I was recently diagnosed with a chronic illness that has stopped me being able to work at the moment; so I was incredibly worried about the potential cost of treatment. I’ve already spent hundreds of pounds on various recommended products/medications/treatments etc. The vet could not have been more compassionate, kind, and understanding about it all. He was so genuine & said we would find a way to make it all work. The experience I had at Harrison’s vs the experiences I’ve had at my previous vets is absolutely night and day. I’m so glad I swapped and cannot recommend Harrison’s at Mosborough highly enough.

Lovely, welcoming friendly place. Its a very relaxed and calming environment for your pet whilst they wait to be seen. Great service with a smile the staff appear caring and compassionate and are happy to answer any questions which put you at ease. Im glad we decided to switch to these and would highly recommend

Fantastic service , genuinely have your pets interest at heart , Kind and professional will try to find the most suitable treatment at the best price, with clear advice and prognosis, very friendly team special mention for gerard. Have recommended friends already and will continue to do so , I live in rotherham but its worth the trip knowing you're being looked after properly. Came here with my new puppy after my recent vet experiences (for my cats) at a well known chain vets was disappointing - they lacked care and empathy. Harrison vets were such a breath of fresh air! The team were so friendly and welcoming, taking the time to say hello to the pup and make sure she was calm and happy before proceeding. Gerard was so friendly and knowledgeable, again you could see he clearly cared about the animals and wanted to put them first and make it a stress free experience for them. I feel truly comfortable knowing she will be under his care. I will definitely be organising a transfer for my two cats to come to this vets.

The staff are absolutely amazing from reception to Gerard. We felt able to ask any questions and voice any concerns we had. He was kind and attentive to our pooch. He explained all the treatment including the costs at every stage. One of the best vets we have ever visited.

Such an amazing team! We’ve been to see Gerard 3 times now and each visit has been a breeze. The warm welcome from Helen, the relaxing music, the ceiling of clouds and individual pods in the waiting area make the whole experience so relaxing for me and my dog. As for the consultations and treatments, the service is the best we’ve ever had, Gerard is so friendly and professional and puts me and my dog at ease right away, ensuring to explain everything as we go along. I would highly recommend them!

Had same day appt for microchip, with same company my other cats is registered with. Cheaper than other vets. Very nice & clean practice. Plenty of treats and a painless chip in. Will be using again. Love from Dolly the cat
