Took my precious 12 Yr old pug Ruby to be put to sleep in haven llanelli. Truly awful experience, it was rushed and unfeeling. They hurt her putting the canula in and she screamed, I'll never forget that sound. I totally regret taking her there, I feel I let her down in her final moments. I was there 15 mins max and was charged £195. Scandalous price. Pets before profit.

Haven Vets have always given fantastic service and care to my cats. Recently Alex has been taking great care of my elderly cat Starlight, who suffers from Hyperthyroidism and early stage kidney disease. Thank you for all your help. Wendy

Just started going to Haven Vets. Very positive experience. Staff were warm and welcoming. Consultation was efficient and cost effective for me. I felt reassured by the treatment plan for my dog. He is much better today already.

Amazing, friendly, loving, caring & outstanding service. My mother’s dog needed emergency surgery & they went out of their way re scheduling appointments so that he could get his perennial hernia removed. Receptionists, veterinary nurses & the surgeon vets themselves all showed so much care & compassion. They couldn’t do enough for little Harry. Thank you all so much 💕💕

I’ve been taking my dog here for a good few years and never experienced any issues. Last year my dog picked up a stomach bug and I was only charged £120.00. This year my dog had exactly the same symptoms but maybe slightly worse due to age but I’m unsure. Taken my dog in as an emergency but they was unable to confirm illness, bloods, taken and they carried out an Endoscopy. I explained to them I had insurance and I felt like they had rubbed their hands together. I put 2 stars because they did look after my dog well. But still unable to confirm illness, even know bloods taken and no problems found with the Endoscopy. Had to return to the vet as an emergency the 2nd time because my dog was will not right. I was unable to give tablets to my dog with food so more pain relief from injections given. After about a day or 2 my dog showed improvement. Still fell that my dog picked up a bug and there was no need to carry out the Endoscopy, they even mentioned doing MRI scan that I said was totally unnecessary. Costs alone for this was £1500. I felt that I was not informed correctly about the cost of treatment and I had a shock when I seen the insurance claim. Total bill over over £1700.00. Would have been over 3k if I accepted the MRI scan. £1700 for a stomach bug or small virus is unacceptable. I know you can’t put a price tag on your pet health, but some people have to work a whole month for this. I did send a complaint letter but did not amount to anything apart from gentle reminders to pay your 20% excess. I have no issues with the duty of care or the staff, but people should understand the charges from this practice will hurt big time and felt that because I had insurance they had taken full advantage without understand that I still had to pay my excess fees.
