This is a small, very friendly vet surgery. The lovely receptionists go out of their way to help you. I have spent a fortune on my elderly cat, but the prices would be the same everywhere. After my cat was established on her medication, they did suggest buying this online which has saved me quite a lot of money. My vet Jenny has been excellent with my grumpy cat, and very thorough in investigation and treatment of her health conditions, despite my cat putting up quite a fight at times!!

Wonderful vets. I haven’t needed to go often but just recently my elderly cat had a funny turn. I was able to get an urgent appointment the same afternoon (a Friday) for an examination and a follow-up the next Monday morning for a blood test. Both vets and the nurse we saw were wonderful, very thorough, took their time and were so gentle and kind with my cat (and me!) and explained everything. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this surgery. The receptionists are helpful and welcoming and it’s a calm atmosphere.

Had our cat checked out yesterday evening and everyone was so kind and warm. June is very anxious so we waited in the car and the receptionists were understanding . Ana the vet was efficient, kind and reassuring and June was relaxed throughout.

After calling around several vets in Bristol to find the most affordable option for a male cat castration and microchipping, I chose this practice because I was told the total cost would be £107, and that no vaccinations were required. When I first rang, I made it very clear that I was on a tight budget and couldn’t afford any additional costs. I was reassured this would be the full amount. At my consultation, no extra charges were mentioned, so I came back today fully expecting to pay £107. However, when I arrived, I was suddenly told there would be an additional £23 fee — and this conversation took place in front of other clients in the reception area. I was made to explain my financial situation publicly, which was deeply uncomfortable and humiliating. The staff took no responsibility for the misunderstanding, simply stared at me and asked what I wanted to do. When I said I couldn’t afford anything more, one of them responded with an “awwwww” as if speaking to a child. To make matters worse, they later implied that my version of events wasn’t correct, and I expect they may do the same in response to this message. That in itself is disappointing. In the current financial climate, this situation could and should have been handled with much more care and understanding. I left feeling upset, embarrassed, and dismissed, when all I had done was be transparent from the start about what I could afford.

We have been with this vets for years and they have helped us through the high's and the lows with our animals during this time. The staff are always great and friendly and it's good to have a vets we can trust. There is not a practice or a group of staff members that I would trust more to help us through these moments and to care for our fur babies and we have used a few different vets in the past. I sadly had to put Baby (My boy black rat) to sleep this week who was best friends with my dog Dexter. I wanted to try and have him for another week but ultimately it was time for us to let him go. It also helps to have staff you trust to help you make those tough decisions sometimes when you aren't sure what to do. Thank you for everything you have done for us all so far and please continue offering the great service you do. I've provided some photos of our fur babies we have had over the years, who have all been cared for at this practice. Take care and thank you. Kind Regards, CJ
