The team is led by Mrs Jayne Schouten, a Director who is qualified with VetMB MA MRCVS, and supported by four other veterinary surgeons, Dr Robyn Bramall, Dr Charmaine Micklem, Dr Jacob Packter, and Dr Anja Payne. Each veterinary surgeon is passionate about animals and committed to providing the best care and attention to their furry patients.
The veterinary centre also has a skilled team of five veterinary nurses. Mrs Amy Docking, Miss Charlotte Gleave, Mrs Gemma Hennebry, Miss Lauren Shelford, and Miss Shara Thomas provide excellent nursing care to pets, ensuring they are comfortable and well-cared for during their stay at the veterinary centre.
The Letchworth Veterinary Centre offers several departments to cater to the needs of all pets. The veterinary surgeons’ department provides a range of veterinary services including health checks, vaccinations, surgeries, pet microchipping, and dental care. The veterinary nurses’ department provides a range of nursing services such as wound care, dressing, monitoring of sick pets, and surgical assisting. The centre has several facilities to ensure that all pets receive the best care possible. The veterinary centre is open on weekends to cater for pets who need urgent care. The facilities also include disabled public access, making the veterinary centre wheelchair and crutch-friendly, creating an inclusive environment for everyone.
The Letchworth Veterinary Centre is open five days a week from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm (Mondays to Fridays) and from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturdays. The veterinary centre is closed on Sundays. The vets working here have a real love for the animals they treat. My cats are always calmed and given attention. The cat stand helps immensely.

Good vets, lovely caring attitude but also quick and professional. Waiting area offers the ability to separate cats and dogs, and you can see in through a window to see what animals are in the waiting area before you enter. Parking directly outside too so the logistics of a visit is good. Opening hours are also handy at times when other vets are closed - main reason we switched from our original vet.

Been with this vets for over 20 years. Always found them helpful and professional. We just had our cat euthanised , Chris was outstanding in the care shown to my son to help come to terms with the process. Thanks Chris

10/10 Recommend!! I rescued my dog just over 2 months ago, he’s vary wary of new people so as you can imagine vet visits are very much fun for him. Well that was until we started confidence classes weekly, he met with a lovely nurse called Tara who has been gaining a great bond with Jango to the point he gets excited when she comes out to get us from the waiting area which is a massive improvement. Hopefully with continued visits he’ll be able to get the help he needs without the worry of meeting someone new!

I saw the vet Jane for the 1st time yesterday with my dog, & she was fantastic. Not only was she compassionate & so kind, she totally put me at ease, & nothing was too much trouble. She was also so warm & caring with my dog. Another lovely vet at this practice, who show how much they really care for their patients & owners alike.
