Disgusting behaviour from the manager on arrival she was sat in a room saw from reception on her phone explaining my animals situation she became very intimidatory explaining the high costs was unacceptable she became talking over me and wouldn't give me the opportunity to explore any treatments standing from the other side of the table some considerable distance away to put my hand up she accused me of putting my hand to her face due to her aggressive behaviour I began filming the entire process that day she became increasingly annoyed with that and threatening to call authorities which resulted in doing so. Eventually some treatment was disclosed and left from the practice . I would highly recommend this practice deserves a zero rating. Since medivet has taken over Newman watters The level of behaviour and professionalism from the practice is totally unacceptable .avoid treatment for your animals from the surgery.

The spay procedure for my cat was completed successfully, but I didn’t feel very welcome during my visit. The staff’s manner toward me felt dismissive and a bit ‘let’s just take the payment and move on.’ While the medical side was fine, the experience lacked warmth and respect. For that reason, I’ll be choosing a different veterinary practice next time.

We arrived just four minutes late to our appointment, fully aware this can cause inconvenience, but the complete lack of empathy from this practice was shocking. We had left work early, dealt with traffic, and had the difficult job of getting our 13-year-old stressed cat into the car. Yet none of that was considered! As we walked in (only four minutes past the appointment time), we watched another client being taken into our appointment slot. We politely asked for just 10 minutes, considering it was a 15-minute slot, but we were told it was “policy” and were turned away without any flexibility or compassion. We even asked if we could take the next client’s slot instead, since they were now in ours, but again, we were refused without any consideration. We tried to explain our situation, including our cat’s age and stress, but there was zero care, zero empathy, and very rigid, unhelpful responses. The staff were very dismissive. To turn away a stressed elderly animal for being four minutes late is appalling. It felt more about policy than pet care. We have now registered our cats elsewhere, and the contrast was immediate! Our new vet showed understanding, kindness, and genuine care.

It was fairly quick to register my kitten and get an appointment. They have a specific waiting area just for cats which is really good 👌🏻✨ a cat friendly practice.

My cat was brought in to the practice by a member of the public after being found looing unwell. She had been missing from us for 6 years and we were located by the fact she was chipped and registered to us. She was skinny and obviously unwell. The only information I was given about her well being was that she could probably have a Thyroid issue and there was a lump on her rectum they assumed was a tumour. I had to suggest worm and flee treatment and was charged a staggering £50 for the treatment. I was told to take her home, feed her and keep an eye on her bum to see if it got worse and bring her back in a couple of weeks, once she had hopefully put weight on, for blood tests. I went home feeling that they thought she wouldn't live much longer. After sitting with all the information, I realised I felt really disappointed with the advice or actually lack of advice I'd been given and decided to call another vets for a second opinion. They asked me to take her in so they could give her a thorough check over and then they could advise me on helping her gain weight and look at any treatment. In short, after a thorough examination, her rectal issue is a prolapse with an infection, she has a gum infection, bloods were taken and they showed no Thyroid issues ( which to be fair to your vet they were surprised at), I was given advice on what to feed her to help her gain weigh and antibiotics. A week later she's a happy cat, the infection is under control and she's gaining weight. I know if I'd of listened to your vets and left her two weeks she would be either extremely ill or dead now. I have left your vets practice and would never recommend them you anyone, very poor

I would have given the practice five stars but I disagree with the treatment being offered to my dog by the last vet I saw there so I will be requesting a second opinion. Everyone is has been lovely. Receptionists are polite and friendly and my usual vet is great.
