My fur baby has been for her health check at Moorview on Northumberland Park. What I don’t understand is taking her to see a veterinary nurse. I know my dog better than anyone and tell the nurse of any issues, then once checked over, no matter what the issue is, dental, lumps etc, I’m told to make a costly appointment with the vet to get this checked…what is the point in this appointment! It would be great if the vet could come through then and there to check the nurses work, but they don’t. It would save the customer a lot of money, your animal less stress and teach the nurse. Can you imagine us humans going through this at the Doctors, it’s pointless! Apart from this, they are good with my dog and give her attention to keep her calm and the receptionists are lovely.

Really friendly and caring for your pets. They answer yours questions and help you to understand what your pet is about to go through.

A near perfect appointment for our dog, the vet listened carefully and gave a considered diagnosis. All the staff were very friendly and engaging.

Edit: and now just a month on they've sent me a message and email, saying my dog would benefit from a recommended health check for £85. First and last visit to moorview Northumberland park, tried this vets after moving back to the area and remembering 10 years ago it had a good reputation, went to this vets with my dog got charged £60 for consultation, (told them what was wrong with her as had the same thing a year and a half earlier) plus cost of medication, told they wanted see her again 5 weeks later to make sure she was improving, 5 weeks later returned for follow up appointment where the vet signed my dog off as she was improving, only to go back into reception to be told I had to pay another £59.50 as it was a re-examination. Never in my life have i had a follow up appointment be called a re-examination and charged for it.

The staff at Northumberland Park are fabulous. Ruth is the best vet I've ever seen. Would definitely recommend this branch of Moorview. My cat was very relaxed.

First time at this practice, saw a lovely vet called Ruth, didn’t feel rushed, felt like she had time for our boy, couldn’t fault her one bit. Reception very spacious and airy, nice friendly staff on the desk too. Highly recommended
