Absolutely do not recommend. I took my young cat in for a routine spay, but the procedure was not completed due to complications. Afterwards, I was told there was fluid in her lungs and a possible heart problem. I was terrified, spent days crying, and paid for an expensive blood test because I genuinely believed my cat was seriously ill. The blood test later showed no heart problem. I was then offered another surgery, but only with additional diagnostics costing around £100 on top of the procedure, bringing the total to about £250. Because I lost confidence in the advice I was receiving, I went to PDSA for a second opinion. They reviewed the records from Vet4Pets and successfully completed the spay without any additional heart diagnostics. My cat is now healthy, active, and recovering well. This experience caused me a huge amount of stress, worry, and unnecessary expense. I would never trust this practice with my pet again.

Losing our little Beau has been absolutely heartbreaking, but knowing she was cared for by such an amazing team brings us so much comfort. From the very beginning, Sach, Katie and the whole team at North Tyneside Vets4Pets showed her kindness, patience and genuine affection. It was clear every time we visited that Beau adored them just as much in return. Over the past almost 13 years, Beau certainly kept us on our toes, the number of times we visited V4P is too many to count. But the support, compassion, kindness, love and exceptional care she received throughout her life will never be forgotten. Their compassion didn’t end with her care. The thoughtful messages and support we received afterwards meant more than I can say. It’s rare to find people who treat your pet like family, but that’s exactly what they did for Beau. We will always be grateful for the love they showed her. She is such a miss, but knowing she spent her time surrounded by people who genuinely cared for her makes the grief a little softer. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts x

Disappointing Experience and Serious Concerns About Diagnosis My dog developed lumps in his throat, was struggling to swallow properly, and had extremely bad breath. We were referred to the North Tyneside branch by another branch because they supposedly had the most advanced equipment and machinery available. After carrying out numerous tests through our insurance company, we were repeatedly told that my dog was completely fine. However, over time the lumps became larger, the smell worsened, my dog started losing energy, and he is still struggling to swallow. When I asked them to revisit the tests they had already completed, they again insisted that everything was normal. I then requested a recording of the endoscopy procedure (the camera examination down his throat), but was told it had not been recorded. I found this surprising given how much they advertise their advanced facilities and equipment. I have also spoken to another client who was incorrectly told their dog had cancer, only for a second opinion to later confirm this was not the case. I cannot say with certainty what happened in our case, but it genuinely feels as though every possible test was billed through the insurance without properly identifying or addressing the underlying issue. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend seeking a second opinion before trusting this practice with your pet’s care. We are currently in contact with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and are waiting for advice on the next steps. I wanted to post this now in the hope that it may help spare other pets — and their owners — from going through the same distressing experience.

Got both of my rabbits spayed on Monday, and they are both back to their happy selves. After a scary operation I worried for the worst, but the vets and staff were so informative and friendly. Thankyou for treating my rabbits so well🤍Our vet was so lovely and patient with all my questions😊

Data protection breached at this practice. Gave my ex my dogs microchip number that was done here so he was able to switch ownership without my consent . My other dog was put in for a spay operation without my consent also who was under my name here , practice emailed me to say they assumed he was owner because he took the dog a few times whilst I worked even though details were all in my name . YOU DONT ASSUME OWNERSHIP .....Just greed .

I recently took my 8 month puppy in for a routine check up. The vet was friendly and informative. A real credit to the two female receptionists, in particular the younger girl. She gave my puppy some samples of the treats on display before we purchased them! Both receptionists were friendly and chatty, which made waiting for the prescription feel like FUN! Thanks again :)

We’ve been going to this vets for a few years. The vets we’ve seen have generally been good. However we recently went and were not confident in how the vet imparted information. The vet was pleasant etc. and tried to treat our dog. When we mentioned that we weren’t overly happy with the appointment to the receptionist my wife was told “I think you’re being rude”! Clearly dealing with customers isn’t high on the list of priorities.
