The visit went well with our three 17year old cats. Check ups and vaccinations by a vet we’ve seen before and liked. Always good to see the same face each visit. Unfortunately she’s moving on.

Excellent vet practice. Always great staff and an excellent service all round. Never kept waiting (baring emergencies) and can always get an appointment easily. Would definitely recommend.

Honey (the cat) needed a blood test as she is unexpectedly losing weight. She is an elderly, timid house cat. We attended the surgery on 3/12/2025. The staff were very gentle with her and on the second attempt, successfully managed to take a sample. Many thanks.

The team at Mount Vets in Malton have looked after all my pets over the last 15 years. Very sadly had 2 cats put to sleep about a year ago & this was carried out at home with kindness & care, same for 2 other family dogs. Ruth was super caring when we had Luna put to sleep a few weeks ago. We now have our new puppy Octis who loves a visit along with my needy Staffy Luther. Thanks to all, Lisa

Not easy to write this review. After 15 years of using the practice, our experience yesterday was seemed much less personal and personable. There seems to be a new emphasis on recommending medication and treatment at additional expense- just as has recently been reported on radio 4. Also the quotation for suggested dental treatment was certainly inflation busting compared to the last time we had to to pay for something similar and we were supposed to be grateful for that price being marked on the card and were assured it would stand for 3 months. The usual comments on how our elderly cats are beautiful were missing, and while this might seem inconsequential, the lack of warmth and stressing of the clinical and costs made a huge difference to how we felt about the experience and in fact made us feel less confident in the advice. We were attending for an annual check and vaccination boost and the cats are comfortable and happy at home and to all appearances doing well for their great age. However, we left with many concerns. We need to balance the need for medication and treatment with the stress this would cause the animals, but our wonderings about this did not seem to be taken seriously. Hopefully this was just an off day and not a change on direction for a practice we should like to continue to use.

Let’s be honest, you don’t ever want to visit a vet with your beloved pooch, however Minster take a wholly refreshing approach. I visit routinely so the occasions for urgent are totally derisked. The team are great and my payment plan covers ticks, worm treatment, kennel cough, and annual vaccinations.
