Bertie visited for his annual health check and vaccinations. The vet took a lot of trouble and answered all our questions. We opted for the annual injection flea treatment rather than the three monthly tablet. Bertie loved the liver paste given to take his mind from the injection and he didn’t feel a thing. The new premises are spacious and there is plenty of parking.

It was really nice to see the new location — modern, clean, and very well designed. The staff were polite and friendly, and overall the place gives a great first impression. However, I didn’t appreciate being asked to wait during our registration so the receptionist could answer a phone call. It felt a bit like ordering a drink at a bar and having the bartender stop halfway through serving you to answer the phone — it doesn’t feel like the right priority when a customer is already standing in front of you. Everyone was very polite, and this feedback is simply meant as constructive criticism because the overall experience could have been much better with more attention to the customer who is physically present.

The new premises are lovely. Bright, fresh and spacious. The staff, as before were welcoming and friendly. Wee Tam went for his health check and the Vet was attentive and calming towards him. I’m looking forward to Tam using the new hydrotherapy pool to help his hips.

I came to Summerhill VC when on holiday. I cannot praise the practice enough, from the friendly efficiency of the receptionists to the exemplary care from the vets. Mab is doing better and we have an appointment with our own vet back home tomorrow to update her continuing care in Somerset.

Summerhill Vet Centre were amazing when we visited them in December. We were on holiday in the area when one of our dogs got a sore eye. We spoke to Debbie on reception, explained the problem and she arranged an appointment for us later that same day. The vet Ellie was brilliant (and Grace the trainee vet). Our boy can be a little bit nervous at our own vets, so the fact we were going to a different vet meant that he was even more nervous. Ellie and Grace were brilliant with him and helped put him at ease. They gave his eye a thorough examination and made sure he had no major problems. They put our minds at ease and gave us some medication to help ease the inflammation. We were SO pleased to be able to see a vet so quickly, and were really happy with the care they gave our boy. Thanks very much!!

This is genuinely the best vet that we've ever used. One of our cats had to have a major op recently and they couldn't have been lovelier. They kept us updated and spent time explaining everything and putting us at ease. They genuinely remember your fur babies and offer consistency where you see the same vet. Their care for animals is second to none.

I have lost two dogs in the last 6 months. It has been so very difficult and emotional. All the staff at Summerhill have been kind, thoughtful and supportive throughout. When I arrived with my new puppy they were truly please for me. Great team of people.

Great vets who looked after our 8 year old Sprocker. Our Sprocker got ill whilst visiting the beach in Wells-next-the-Sea. He deteriorated rapidly from initial sickness and we were very fortunate to be able to get into see an emergency vet for treatment. Diagnosis at consultation did not look favourable for Rufus, but with intervention and a great team, he was treated for salt water ingestion (he was playing with a ball in the sea and managing to not catch it repeatedly and ending up taking mouthfuls of water in each time) Fortunately today, his levels have stabilised after intervention and we have just taken him home. Thank you to the entire team! Love and hugs xx
