We recently switched to Mewes Vets, and honestly, they were brilliant. Christianne was amazing with both my dogs — one who thinks the vets is the best place on earth, and the other who would rather be anywhere else. Billie on reception was so kind, playing little games and offering treats without ever pushing too hard, and it made such a difference. My nervous girl hasn’t stepped on the scales without a meltdown in ages, but she managed it! Even the vet table wasn’t scary this time — they lowered it, sprinkled treats, and to my shock she actually hopped on and stayed there happily. They really went above and beyond, and by the time we left, Minnie was completely in love with the reception team and even wanted to go back into the consult room. Thank you Mewes vets!

I have been taking my two black Labradors to The Mewes Vets for 9 years now. The staff are always very welcoming and Dr Ali Carter has looked after my dogs so well, she knows her stuff and is excellent. The other thing I like about the Mewes Vets is that it is privately owned and not part of one of those big companies taking over vets and who will only refer you to their own specialist vet hospitals. If a referral is needed then The Mewes will refer you to the best specialist in the area for that particular condition. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Mewes Vets in Haywards Heath. We’ve been coming to Mewes Vets for over 10 years with our boxer dog, Archie. Since he was a puppy, he’s received excellent care from the whole team. Now that he’s older and facing more health issues, Alice has been especially wonderful. Her genuine care, calmness and gentleness with Archie means so much to us, particularly as he can be very anxious. We’ve never had a bad experience and would highly recommend this practice to anyone.

Based on recommendations, I registered my dog when I moved to the area. They've been excellent at treating him for a long standing health issue. We see Alice each time, and she's always thorough while being gentle and patient. Treatment options are always discussed and I feel informed and listened too. The practice is quite small, but it's always clean and warm, plus there is a few parking spaces around the back of the practice. I definitely recommend.

We have been coming to Mewes Vets for over 20 years and Julia and her team are fantastic. Our dog took a funny turn on Saturday and we were fitted in immediately with Alice. Archie our boxer dog is very nervous, and Alice is brilliant with him & always reassures him the whole time. Thank you to the reception team for always being so accommodating and for getting him seen so quickly. I would highly recommend this Veterinary Clinic to friends and family.

Highly recommend the whole team at The Mews Vets; they are absolutely fantastic! They’re super friendly and helpful, and have always taken such great care of our beloved family dog, for many years now. Special thanks to the amazing vet Alice for always showing such genuine care for our boy, he loves her! And for the equally wonderful nurse Sarah Wood for her amazing care and fuss she gives him always; he adores her!! And to the lovely reception team too! They’re all amazing! Thank you!!

From the very first visit, the staff at Mewes Vets have shown incredible patience and understanding with my anxious dog. They arranged multiple desensitisation visits, taking the time to play with him, help him settle, and gradually get comfortable with the clinic environment. Their gentle, caring approach has made vet visits so much less stressful for both of us. I truly feel they treat every pet like their own, and I can’t recommend them highly enough!
