Moving to Mewes a year ago was the best decision for our dog Fudge! Julia and the team are incredibly gentle and caring. We've seen them a number of times since joining and they always take the time to explain options without rushing us. When he broke his dew claw recently, they saw him within 15 minutes of us calling them and booked him in for surgery the following morning. The pricing is very reasonable and they also offered suggestions how to save money with a repeat prescription. Incredibly the procedure to remove his dew claw even came in under the quote! I would highly recommend them!

I’m delighted to have found this vet. Everything was great, the receptionist was very welcoming and helpful. The vet Christiane was excellent, my cats were very content for their vaccines and health check. She spent time to explain everything to me and pointed out that my cats’ chips weren’t registered as I’d brought them from abroad - thank goodness for that! And it’s easy to park 🙂

The whole team were very welcoming with my dog Sherlock who is very anxious. He wears a muzzle at the vets for safety and there was no judgement, just complete understanding and even gratitude that he was muzzle trained. Everyone tried to make it a really positive experience for his visit which was really lovely and he was not nearly as worried as he has been previously when going to other vet practices. Dr Mewes was very good with him and got on with everything nice and quickly, which is always helpful too. Very transparent about prices and gave me all the information I needed, as well as time to think over different options for joining the Pet Care Plan, which definitely seems like a very fair and good option! Thank you for such a great experience!

It's difficult to find vets that are knowledgable about guinea pigs. I've spent a long time in consultations having to explain what medication is best for what ailment. This practise didn't need me to explain anything, they already had the knowledge and they like guinea pigs (which helps). They couldn't help fit our GP in for her euthanasia (very last minute), but they were very kind and suggested using a local vet instead. They even sent a condolence card afterwards (which made me cry) which shows the size of their heart. Thank you so much for all your help.

Having found The Mewes Vets I would never go anywhere else. Julia and all the vets, nurses and receptionists are brilliant. We changed to The Mewes as it was recommended by a vet from a different area - best recommendation ever.
