We've brought our cats to this practice for over 20 years. Never had any reason to go elsewhere. Friendly staff. Always professional and caring. Good place. They have monthly pet plans to let you spread the cost of flea/worm treatment and vaccinations, and you get a bit of money off other treatments. I was always signed up to their cat plan but last year it jumped from £14.49 a month to nearly £20 so I stopped it. That has not put me off using the practice though I will start buying over the counter flea and worm treatments. I am sorry they are no longer a small independent firm but have become part of the VetPartners group as I am concerned about the costs impact of this. I'm only taking off a star for the corporate turn now in our local vet. That's a personal choice. Otherwise, we're very happy with their service. This review was not initially published as I think Google regarded my comments on the new model as too 'political' I suspect. I have edited the review but retained my observations on the new ownership structure as these are relevant to costs which are important to pet owners choosing a practice and certainly is a relevant topic of conversation among my friends with pets. Anyone interested can look up the VetPartners funding model online and make their own judgment on whether this move is good or bad for pet owners at this practice. For me personally, it drops this nice practice a star. Perhaps for someone else it'll add one.

Edit: Unfortunately they have changed their pet plan, which no longer covers regular nail clipping, and it's really now not cost effective at all. My little man has been registered here for over a year now and I'm very pleased with the service so far. The staff all appear to genuinely love animals and make my nervous dog a lot more comfortable than he has been anywhere else. They are accomodating and flexible with appointments. I have had to pay £25 for forgetting nail clipping appointments a few times but that's fair enough - whenever I've had to change them in advance they have done so without complaint. Which brings me to their pet plan. I cannot clip my dogs claws. He is too nervous and figity, which makes me nervous, and it's just not feasible. So, to be able to pay £16 a month and know he can have them done by someone more qualified whenever he needs it, plus have his check ups covered, is a great deal. They also accept direct payment from insurance companies, as all vets should. To deny care to animals for the sake of a short delay in payment is cruel and unfortunately, now common. 5 stars from us!

Been using Meridian vets for around 5 years and they have always been helpful, fitting us (3 dogs and a cat)in quickly for emergencies and always willing to give advice and be helpful. My cat looked like he was going rapidly downhill and they coordinated a team and medical plan that helped revive him to his normal self. Many thanks to all the staff that work there.

Meridian Vets is a fantastic practice. We’ve been with them for 11 years, since we moved to the area, and I cannot fault them. We’ve visited for an absolute plethora of reasons over the years. From moggie check ups, to reptile ear infections. Even the admin staff know me by voice! Today, we had our elderly cat euthanised. I can not thank the team and Larissa enough, for the amazing kindness shown to Pippin in his last moments. I was really touched by the dedication shown by Larissa, and everyone involved. Thank you so much! As a fellow local business owner, it’s so important to me that my vets show so much compassion, dedication and love.

Meridian Vets are absolutely brilliant- Larissa has been looking after our kitties for years and she’s just fabulous. She’s kind, considerate, professional and empathetic- all our kitties are and have been rescues, sometimes with a traumatic past so this has made a big difference to their care. They all love her ! All the other vets we’ve seen over the years have been great too and the nurses are fantastic and caring. The receptionists are brilliant- always kind and understanding . We would highly recommend this practice- Thank you Meridian for looking after our beloved pets x
