My mums Frenchie was admitted to the Brighton clinic as an emergency patient recently . He was diagnosed with lung cancer but the lovely vet Carmelo drained fluid from his lungs and made sure he was comfortable to go home and be with us for a while so that we could say goodbye. Harvey sadly is no longer with us but the care he received was second to none and Carmelo was so kind and caring with us and with Harvey. Thankyou to the whole team who were all so kind.

I have taken my elderly ferret to this vet a few times, including one emergency. They have a vet on call at all hours of the day and they were able to check that my ferret was stable until we could see the exotics vet during work hours. I have had nothing but good experiences with the staff here, they explain their reasoning and what all the options are as well as being up front about treatment costs. When my ferret had to stay in hospital all day for monitoring, I knew she was well cared for because she came home relaxed and comfortable. It is, as other reviewers noted, expensive. To give you an idea, my ferret's most recent treatment (emergency visit, exotic consultation, all-day monitoring with blood tests and ultrasound, medication, follow up appointment) cost about £750 total. Considering the cost of staff with years of specialist training spending several hours on her, medical equipment, facilities, and support team it seems like a very reasonable price.

Took my Frenchie for her spay surgery, Katia done an excellent job with her, nice clean tidy incision, great phone handover once she had finished the surgery, great post op checks ups from the nurse, couldn’t have asked for better care. Both my dogs always have their yearly jabs here too and again, great care & professional service. Wouldn’t hesitate to use them again if my dogs need any other surgeries etc. Was told about all costs upfront and no hidden fees etc, everything was explained throughly beforehand. Would recommend.

Been a customer for 10 years. I’m a trainee nurse with limited time to take my cat to the vet’s. It’s like this company don’t think people have jobs. Emailed them 3 weeks before Christmas for repeat meds so I had enough time to pick them up. Called them early Jan when he was about to run out, and they say he needed a meds check. No one had told me. Have booked two appointments and for different valid reasons I have had to cancel. They gave me enough in Jan for 14 days. They are now refusing to give me more steroids for my cat who suffers with asthma without seeing him first. He had his last dose day before yesterday. Poor little guy is coughing away, I don’t know what to do?!! My next free day is Tuesday, next week but I cannot leave him that long. Nor do I have a job where I can guilt free call in sick!! I’m sure you’ve read the papers; I’m needed at the county. Appalled they have left him. They don’t care about animals clearly. After reading some of the stuff online about them i don’t seem to be the only one. Have submitted a complaint of sorts. Yet to speak to someone senior. As receptionist was “just reading off the screen” and was not at all helpful or understanding. She said no one was available. I’m prepared to take them to the VCMS and will be alerting the RCVS to their conduct this weekend.

We were sent by our own vet for urgent medical attention for our border ollie. We were met by an amazing dedicated team, who immediately took ollie into the examination room and suggested that he stay there the night for tests and keeping an eye on. We were phoned the next morning and advised that all was well and ollie had improved and ready to come home. It seems ollie was a hit with all staff they certainly were with us. There professionalism was beyond reproach and we have no hesitation in recommending you and your team with anyone. 5stars. Patrick Powell.

As a rat owner finding knowledgeable vets is hard work. Thankfully many years ago I had the fortune of coming across Celine at Coastways. Celine has always gone above and beyond for all my rats, always showing compassion but straight to the point regarding the best care for them. Since then my wife and I had the pleasure of having our rats being see by other vets in the exotic department. Francesca has been an incredible vet whose kindness and expertise has helped so many of our rats from diagnosis to surgery and recovery. Antigoni’s compassion has been pivotal when we needed to make difficult decisions and our rats are always spoiled when seeing her. The exotic nurses have always ensured any stays were stress free for us knowing our rats are in good hands. Their patience and care is outstanding especially when one of our rats kept eating his stitches. Across a decade they have seen 20 of our rats, and we couldn’t imagine going anywhere else for their care. Celine, Francesca and Antigoni and the exotic nurses are the reason why we are always so happy to travel the extra distance. For anyone who wants compassionate, knowledgeable and straight to point vets, they are the ones to see. They will always tell you the best course of action that will result in less stress for your pet and your wallet saving you from unnecessary costs and procedures. Thank you we would be lost without you.
