We have been with ambivet for 13 years and have visited many many times. I vowed that my dogs would never spend the final moments there. When the time came I rang Vet Care at a home. Ambivet had to ring me for me to give consent for my dogs notes to be passed on. It was a quick hello can we pass the notes on and then a quick bye!!! Not once did they ask if there was anything they could do seeing as our dogs had been under their care for all those years. We spent thousands of pounds with them!! We got a completely different experience with Vet Vare at home. Such compassionate people. Would never recommend Ambi Vet

Megan the vet is so kind and gentle with my little Daisy that she refuses to see anyone else. She’s an anxious little dog. Megan is very thorough and good at her job and we’ve been seeing her now regularly for 15 months. Sometimes we travel to other practices to see her if she’s not available in Ripley. That’s how good she is with Daisy. A few years ago, before Daisy got ill, when I still had my boy Moby, also a dog, our vet was Amy. Moby had a few problems going on and Amy looked after him really well. He was very cantankerous, lame and nearly 16 when we lost him. Amy gave him the best chance she could and never gave up on him when I think others would have. We lost him quite suddenly in the end and I just wish it could have been Amy we had with us, but we had to have the on call vet, who was very kind. Just not our vet. But anyway - both Megan and Amy are very, very good vets.

Amy Green is a fantastic vet! The service, care and compassion she gave for our visit with Poppy the cockapoo over the last few weeks has been outstanding. Not only has she put us at ease by taking the time to explain everything in simple terms, even drawing diagrams, answering lots of questions, all to help give us peace of mind. She is fantastic with Poppy too. What was a stressful and emotional time was made so much better with the care from Amy. Thank you so much. Also, the reception team are always so lovely, friendly and welcoming. We’ve been using Ambivet for almost 12 years (started at Heanor and now at Ripley) and have always felt well looked after!

Great experience today, my first time to this vets, I took in my budgie (vets who deal with budgies and other exotic pets are few and far between) Megan (I think that was the vets name!) was extremely helpful, caring and enthusiastic, as was the nurse who was helping her, the receptionist was very efficient and friendly, I would definitely recommend this practice

I recently took my girl in to have a small mass removed from her chest and was informed that the wound would be small yet it wasn't. I was also under the impression that it would be sealed properly yet it wasn't within 2 days she had opened the wound and after being charged 850 for the original operation I was then charged a further 200 to have her stapled back up. Even though the staff are amazing that is unacceptable

All the staff are wonderful and caring. My dog has a long term health condition that was spotted by the vets here. Every time we go in for blood tests or medication my dog gets treated like a VIP. A brilliant service and knowledgeable, friendly staff.
