Cash cow. Raised a complaint regarding a visit to the site in which my dogs ear was ignored by a sub contracted vet. This Vet didn’t even work on site, was filling in for staff shortages whilst the owner was on holiday. I’ve since reattended and been told not only will they do nothing regarding the initial visit… that I should’ve complained at the time. I did! Received no response. Embarrassing service. Rude and abrupt when I tried to address the issue. Overcharged for absolutely nothing the first time round. Now my dogs ear looks like this and they won’t even acknowledge fault. Absolute joke. 400 quid and two visits for one pot of steroids, whilst my dogs been poorly advised and in discomfort for over a year. Never the type to review a business but this one’s a bit Ruff… do yourself a favour and go somewhere else.

Absolutely disgraceful vets, constantly finding ways of changing agreements to charge more, over charge for basic procedures, over charge for medications, constant agency vets that change everytime you go in Avoid if you think anything of your pets at all, vets for pets brighouse are much better

What an incredible veterinary practice! Took our cat there recently to be neutered. Everyone who dealt with us was incredibly kind and understanding. Our cat is happy and so are we. Thank you so much. 😻

Been going to this vets for a few years now, with several animals. Find them to be nice, and very caring vet (dreadlocks) the only downside is getting an appt when you need one… why shut mid week? You can guarantee my pooch needs a vet on the flipping day they’re closed!!! And driving to Halifax is hard work for an emergency. Please re think the opening days… maybe need to transfer to Calder vets, having had to reach out to them in an emergency when Ashfield was CLOSED!

I took my German Shepherd Tyke for his booster and check up .He can sometimes be a little skittish at the vets but Suzanne soon put him at ease .She has a very gentle caring approach and is extremely knowledgeable. My dog received a thorough check up and didn't flinch with the vaccination and kennel cough .She is a very friendly and approachable vet who doesn't rush the client and is very thorough .She is a breath of fresh air and a credit to the company The young lady on the reception was also so very helpful and patient when I was filling out my healthy pet club forms I can highly recommend my local vets practice in Wakefield

Just wanted to take the time to thank Ashfield for their help today. I have a Syrian Hamster, and during previous visits at other vets, they say 'we see Syrian Hamsters, but we don't really deal with them' - which never fills me with confidence. Today I took Flo to Ashfield - she received the proper care and attention she deserves. The vet was so lovely and offered a variety of options in order to help my hamster. Even though I was given the news that Flo has a tumor, she was able to prescribe her some anti-inflammatory and pain relief medications, as well as offering a follow up visit to assess the situation. Thank you so much for taking my hamster's health seriously, and for treating her just as you would a dog or a cat. Thank you for providing options and for not suggesting that she be put to sleep just because she's older. Your attentiveness in seeing that she stills lives a happy and fulfilling life means so much to me. If you have a small animal that requires medical attention, I would highly recommend Ashfield. They are clearly knowledgeable and experienced when dealing with exotic pets. Having a vet with a lack of knowledge and experience can be a huge worry for small pet owners. Thank you so much!
