Brilliant, I’ve rescued a bichon freeze cross poodle with a few problems and Rennie was so good with her nurse to help him feel better, so kind and helpful not just for dogs but also for people, I came home feeling much better, now fingers crossed my boy will have a much healthier future and a itchy free life, 9 years of having that problem must of been hell . Thank you vets4 pets especially Rennie x

I rescued a dog overseas in December 2024 and unfortunately he seemed very unwell. I took him to Vets4Pets where they did a blood test and after they received the results they called me one evening telling me that he wasn’t very well at all and either I would have to get treatment for him where he would be in the hospital for months, costing £7,000 or put him down. I was devastated, luckily I managed to get a second opinion where they knew his condition, which is Leishmania, thanks to my current vet my lovely dog is still with us thriving, without costing £7,000 or being put down. I wish I could post a photo of him to show his progress.

I unfortunately had to put my cat Pepsi to sleep this week. It was a very heartbreaking day for me. Having said that, through this experience the vets here have been INCREDIBLY supportive, both to me and to my cat. Before any decision is made on medical treatment, they immediately inform me for consent. These vets update you on treatment almost every hour when your pet is in their hospital. They also handled my pet insurance claims (given how traumatic the experience was) to ensure that I wasn’t taken advantage of by the insurance companies. Even though it was a tough experience, they personally made it a little bit easier, and I would like to thank them for that. Additionally, would like to recommend this vet clinic for any pet owner that wants the very best care for their animal.

Our 10 week old puppy had eaten something which made her unwell. I called the surgery and spoke to Amy who not only explained their process of managing such issues but provided reassurance to us as new owners. We arrived at the vets to be greeted by the most welcoming and kindest staff who quite simply went above and beyond to get us an appointment so promptly, explain everything that we needed to know in a polite, professional manner and treat our little puppy. We now have a happier pup and we couldn't be more grateful. A huge thank you to Amy, Alicia, Rebecca and Gemma for your help, patience and kindness to our pup today. Highly recommend this surgery!

Lovely vet, shame about 1 rude and condescending receptionist. 2 of the receptionist were lovely when I arrived. They explained everything fully about the plan I was to take out on my elderly dog. The vet was lovely. I settled my bill with a different receptionist. She very rudely told me that they couldn't/wouldn't get a paid pre authorisation from my insurance and that I should pay over £ 250 now and get a reimbursement from insurance later. I explained that I didn't have that kind of money now but I could pay when I got paid, of which I was abruptly told that I need to give a weeks notice because they have to order the medication! She huffily explained the breakdown of charges when I asked for it, as if I was wasting her time. She didnt give me meds that I had purchased and a member of staff had to find me on the shop floor and hand them to me. I don't know her name but she was plump with red hair. A course in customer service is well needed. UPDATE : I contacted the practice manager about the issues had I experienced, as requested by the manager in the reply. I received a satisfactory reply from them. Several months later, unfortunately, I had to have my dog put to sleep at this vets, due to her old age and sudden gastro issues. It was a shock for it to happen so suddenly and very upsetting. The vet and the nursing staff were fantastic. I couldn't have asked for more helpful and sympathetic professionals at a very difficult time. However settling the bill was problematic to say the least. At a very distressing time I was told that they would not take pre authorisation, because I had changed to different insurers over 15 years! Who doesn't over 15 years. We all look for better deals, over so many years, for the health of your pet. I paid over a hundred pounds per month to ensure that my dog had the best care when the time came. I was horrified when they told me ( straight after my dog had been put to sleep) that they wouldn't accept pre authorisation and I had to pay almost £ 1000, up front. I dont have that kind of money laying around and so unfortunately, my son had to pay with part of his student loan. Some dog owners are not rich, but we do our best. The reason I took out insurance was exactly for this reason, and for it to be denied at such a delicate moment was a slap in the face. I made a complaint to the practice manager about the treatment we received and I was given a list of excuses . I was told Hollie (the dog) had ongoing issues relating to the reason she was euthanized, this was one of the reasons pre authorisation was denied. Hollie did not , she had a stroke the year before, not related to gastro issues atall and guess what? 'Hamilton Specialists' a very professional and disguingised specialist vet accepted my pre authorisation with a simple phone call to my insurance company and that 'with' my history of changing insurance companies over the years with absolutely no problems. I have yet to receive another reply from the practice manager. From my story you can see that this is not the first time Vets 4 Pets have refused pre authorisation with flimsy excuses. I don't recommend this vets practice if you rely on insurance. 15 years ago I was in a much better place financially, times have changed and things are much harder for most people. Not everyone has thousands in the bank if they own a pet. Pets 4 vets need to think about these issues and make it easier for those if us who try to do the best for their pet but may struggle financially. This is why there are so many abandoned dogs. I wouldn't do that, I did my best, only to be denied help when it was needed at a most desperate time.

Went yesterday and the service/advice was outstanding. Took my dog cooper in and I don't think the vet could have been more helpful regarding what he needed and helpful on the cost side of things too. Highly reccomended. Have a happier dog now.
