I have been with these vets for a long time and have always been happy with everything they have done. They have cared for my dogs throughout their lives and were absolutely amazing when it was time to say goodbye. I am very protective of my animals and currently have two large dogs that can be a handful. Over the last few years Ian has treated them and they are very comfortable and at ease with him. My cats are under his care and one has recently had an operation around his eye. Ian’s expertise and attention to detail are absolutely fantastic and I will always appreciate that. Everything is explained to you and I always feel comfortable leaving them and knowing I will get the call to say everything is done and come and collect them. All the vets, nurses and receptionists are always kind and supportive and always put the animals first.

I usually don’t write negative reviews, but I feel obligated to warn other pet owners. My first dog was brought to this clinic because of a persistent cough and weight loss. I was told it was just a cold and normal due to old age. No further tests were suggested. Two months later, a different vet at the same clinic told me my dog had lung cancer and needed to be put to sleep immediately. I was informed that the cough was never normal and that my dog had been suffering for months. After a year, we gave this clinic another chance with our new dog. Over two years, his teeth were checked many times due to ongoing issues with eating, vomiting, and weakness. A recent visit to a different vet revealed that he still had two loose baby teeth causing pain — likely the root cause of all his problems. I cannot understand how this was missed. Instead, we spent hundreds of pounds on medications, tests, and consultations without addressing the real issue. This experience destroyed my trust in this clinic. I do not recommend it.

The clinic took excellent care of our pets and kept us constantly informed of the options during their illness. All the staff were very supportive all throughout, from the reception staff to the nurses and vets, would highly recommend the Beeches. Also very reasonable for their treatment compared to some other places!

I honestly can't put into words how impressed and grateful I am for everyone at The Beeches! Anyone who knows me knows I’m a total dog mum, and having the amazing team at The Beeches care for our two dachshunds has made every vet visit so much easier and less stressful. We recently had a bit of bad luck — one of our girls got a foreign body stuck in her eye. We rushed to the emergency vets at Summerleaze on Friday night (they were also wonderful!) and were given some drops to help treat it. On Monday, we had our follow-up at The Beeches, and Nelly — who is usually nervous and reactive — was seen by Angela. Thanks to the calm, kind environment the whole team creates, Nelly felt safe and comfortable. Angela was incredible and knew exactly when to take the next step. She pushed forward to get a specialist consultation with the ophthalmologist, John Burgess (also fantastic), and thanks to that, we were able to get the foreign object removed quickly and smoothly. The whole team worked together to support Nelly, and I couldn’t be more thankful for the care and quick turnaround. A very special thank you to Katie — Nelly’s new best friend — and to Megan, Jude, and Paige for being so sweet and organised throughout everything. And of course, thank you to Angela for her insight, care, and impeccable timing. It really says something when your dog is excited to visit the vet — our other dachshund, Poppy, can’t wait for her visits and always runs in to say hello to everyone!

They helped look after my old and much loved dog Boo after he was diagnosed diabetic. They were also very kind when I had to say goodbye to my boy. They now look after my current two dogs
