Went there due to my rat having a very large hard lump under his chin. Vet looked over, wasnt sure what it was, is going to refer me to an exotic vet... for a 2 minute appointment cost me £60... for them to say that they will refer me which will cost me even more money.

Very poor service after they made a mistake & cancelled a pet care policy. Their error but wouldn’t make the situation right. Their attitude was appalling. Only bothered about money not animal welfare.

Took my cat to the Gillingham Vets for Pets . I was really upset because she had big open sores on her. Ginge saw the vet whose name was Magda she was so kind and compassionate and put my mind at rest and gave the relevant treatment which is working🤞. Magda was lovely . It was so reassuring her explaining everything and advising what to do to prevent this happening again. I would recommend her and Vets for Pets . I meant to say the girl on reception that I spoke to on the phone was lovely to.

Every time I’ve brought my cat to this practice they’ve been brilliant. They’ve always been great at keeping me informed, their advice is great and where possible they always give me options for my animals care. What treatment my mog has had, has always gone well and during follow ups have shown good health/recovery so clearly it’s been done to a good standard. They clearly know what they are doing and I’ve full confidence in these guys. Thanks so much :)

This vets has looked after my cat Bobby for the past two and a half years during his battles with multiple health conditions, most frequently triaditus. During this time the care has always been second to none and they have truly done the best they can for him. Sadly on this last occasion it was not a battle he could win, however Magda at the start of the week was very caring and considerate and readily agreed to start him on fluids as I’d stated this worked before and had a clear plan to help him within moments of discussing his history. Stuart at the end of the week has seen Bobby before and tried everything he could to assist and made sure that everything possible had been tried before telling me we had to let him go. He had previously advised that a low fat as possible diet was the best option for him after his extremely close recovery in Nov 22 and Feb 23, and this gave us more time with our pet. Even at the end Stuart acted with the highest amount of care and compassion to Bobby and myself, it was truly appreciated. Thank you to you all.

I have to say I wish I had never come to this vets… firstly I never saw the same vet twice. Maybe that was why I had such a bad experience. My cat had an ulcer on his lip in July, and the vets I saw kept giving me different opinions and I was messed around with medications, even though I kept saying the steroids I was first given worked great. So the ulcer got bigger and bigger and my poor cat had to deal with it for months! The last time we went, we were referred to a dermatologist. We called the dermatologist to ask for a price and it would have cost us £200 and a drive to Essex JUST FOR THE CONSULTATION! I understand the dermatologist is a specialist and that’s why it’s so expensive, but my cat didn’t need a bloody dermatologist, he needed steroids! I gave up and went to clover street vets in Chatham instead as many weren’t taking new patients. The vet I saw there was experienced and concise, and seemed like she thought it was ridiculous to refer my cat to a derm just for a lip ulcer. She said the 1mg tablets I was given by vets for pets was an extremely low dose and gave us 5mg tablets instead. She also explained more about the condition. 1st photo is how bad it got because of vets for pets, taken in November. 2nd photo was taken today, 3 weeks after seeing clover street vets. I’m so, so glad I stopped coming here. I gave two stars because I’m not fully convinced it’s the vets fault, all the vets and people on the desk we saw were nice and helpful… but I feel like there’s 0 communication between them because they are all locum vets. Something needs to be done about that, can’t believe my cat suffered from July til November when it was such an easy fix.
