All the staff were incredibly helpful and transparent with pricing. I want to give a special thanks to exotic nurse Chloe who took such great care of my rabbit, and showed me exactly how to give his treatment, and answered any questions I had.

I recently went through a difficult time with my dog who unexpectedly and suddenly became very unwell. The minute I brought her in I was listened to and she was immediately admitted. Everyone from the receptionist to the nurse to the vet were extremely compassionate and caring and not only cared for my pet but cared for me. The vet explained everything to me in detail from the cost to the procedures so I could make the right decision by my beloved pet. Even when I bought her home I was allowed to call with any concern I might have and I was listened to. I cannot fault the care my dog received from all members of staff. I love this vet and despite moving 30 minutes away I stuck with them because of their excellence. Would 1000% recommend this veterinary practice to everyone! Thank you so much again!

Amazing vets. My dog had 7 puppies and I had them under the care of great Ashby vets. The runt Dot was in quite a bit as she had a few problems but she is fit and healthy now, 6 months on.

Great place for any kind of needs that your pet may have.Very convenient for whom lives near by,even waiting area for the pets ,comfortable, appropriate. I found very clearly many items that we usually buy to spoil ours lovers pets. All the appointments goes on time, what is good. The people that work there is very nice staff. Parking your car is easy and free tickets, but also good to walk for the ones that lives near by, Not boring if you have to wait...atmosphere nice also warm considering the cold weather outside. The veterinary doctors are competent!!All good!

WE ARE CHANGING OUR VETS AFTER THIS ENCOUNTER! Issue 1 : We had to have our beloved dog put down, when we spoke with the vet before euthanisation, she said we would not have to pay a penny on the day and that as long as we made payment in full within 2 weeks (as that's when our dogs ashes would have arrived), after the dog was euthanized, the lady at reception then demanded the full payment on the spot (just under £700) which is impossible for most people without warning and preparation. Issue 2 : the euthanisation process took stupidly long. They had to inject the dog 3 times as first time they didn't put IV in enough and didn't realise until after the injection. Second time was nor their fault. But on the 3rd and final injection, the vet got my mum to squeeze our dogs leg to pop the vein while they injected her and put her down. My mum wasn't able to cuddle our dig as she went, instead she was doing the job that another vet could VERY easily have done! Will not be returning to this vets!

This place is an absolute joke, they don’t one bit about animals all they care about is money and they rip everyone off. After my recent experience with them I would lost definitely not recommend them to anyone. I have heard some stores but now I have experienced it first hand and when j asked why they feel the need to charge me £80 for a bottle of shampoo which is £20 online they said that’s our prices set by head office. Avoid at all costs

Christmas night my dog suddenly became ill, we called them as it was an emergency and we lived 2 minutes away. The attitude the receptionist gave on the phone was disgusting, when we got there, my dog was walking around delirious and the vet just stood there with their hands in their pockets not even bothering to look at him or check him over. The vet was rolling their eyes and there’s many words I could use for this vet but I won’t. Sadly my dog did pass away on his own accord. A couple days later we called them, and said we’re using a different crematorium business and they were on their way to pick him up, we was then told he’d already been sent to their crematorium they use without our permission. This vet practice has no compassion for animals all they care about is money. No clue how the vet that dealt with us is even qualified.

We are extremely disappointed with the care our 9-year-old cat Gizzy received at Roebuck Vets. Despite countless visits over the past year for ongoing UTI issues, we saw a different vet every time, spent a huge amount of money, and still felt like no one was truly listening or investigating properly. When Gizzy suddenly became unwell recently, Roebuck failed to spot any signs of lymphoma or even suggest further tests that could have helped us get answers sooner. We only received a call from them after we transferred her records to another vet for a second opinion — and even then, at 7pm, it was more guessing, with still no mention of a scan. What’s even more disheartening is that when we informed Roebuck of Gizzy’s passing, we received no reply at all. In contrast, the vet we transferred to sent us a heartfelt condolence card within two days. After years with Roebuck, it genuinely feels like they cared more about taking our money than helping our cat. We will not be registering any future pets with them again.
