First time visiting amazing service and staff so friendly and very welcoming. Massive thanks to Cerys (sorry if I’ve spelt that wrong) who made the visit very relaxing and less stressful. Cant recommend enough!

I would not recommend this practice based on my experience. I took my puppy in when he was showing early symptoms of what was later confirmed as parvovirus, during a reported outbreak in the area. On the first visit, he was given an anti-sickness injection and I was advised he should improve. When I returned the next day, he was kept in for further monitoring and tests. Although parvovirus was noted as a possibility in his clinical records, I was not informed of this at the time and no test was carried out. I was later informed this was due to the practice not having the tests available.. When I collected him, I was told it was likely a stomach upset and was given reassurance that did not reflect the seriousness of his condition. I was advised about emergency care at a cost of around £2,000, which seemed disproportionate based on the information I had been given. Later that same day, I took him to an emergency provider where he was diagnosed with parvovirus and required intensive treatment. In their formal complaint response, the practice acknowledged a delay in diagnosis and accepted that earlier diagnosis may have influenced my decision-making. However, they maintain that this did not affect the outcome, which I do not agree with given how time-critical this illness is. This is also without mentioning the additional costs, stress and uncertainty caused during a time-critical illness, which I believe may have been reduced had parvovirus been identified earlier with a relatively simple snap test.

We have been with this vets for 6 months after changing from another vets (which we are absolutely made up we did and chose here) and they have been nothing but extraordinary! Every single time we visit they put so much love and care into our dog Daisy, and she absolutely loves coming to see them! We have just had her spayed today, and Sarah the vet and all the team have been amazing from keeping us updated every step of the way to us bringing our little girl home. Honestly can not recommend here enough, its clear to say they put your pets best interests/care first and at the heart of what they do.

Thank you Southport vets for looking after our beautiful girl Poppy. It was sadly time to say goodbye and you supported us with our decision and handled it with such compassion and care. We miss her and we are grieving but knowing she didn’t suffer makes it that bit more bearable. Suzanne, Graham, John and Josh x

We've had our boy here since Feb 2024 they've always been fabulous. He's had multiple visits here as he's a clumsy pup and they've always been amazing with him. I would highly recommend this place.

Joined Southport Vets a few months ago after we inherited COCO the kitten. We have had a few appointments since then and all the staff and vets are outstanding. They have looked after her so well we just had to add a review. The cost of the treatments are very competitive and we cant recommend enough. They kept our COCO an extra hour as they wanted COCO to stay for more of her cuddles ha ha

We had such a fantastic experience at Southport Vets. The vet was absolutely amazing – so knowledgeable, especially when it came to our cocker spaniels, and took the time to explain everything clearly. You can really tell they care about the animals as much as the owners do. The whole team is just brilliant – friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming every time we visit. It feels so much more personal here compared to the bigger vets locally. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Southport Vets to anyone looking for the very best care for their pets.
