So grateful to this vet and her team for booking my poor cat in at very short notice, when he wasn’t even registered there (our own vet was less than helpful) and for the kindness and care they showed to us both. Thank you Kat!

Most of us(me included) moan about the costs of veterinary treatment. But without them we would be lost, so I want to thank kirkby vets & especially Kathryn(for putting up with me & my silly jokes) and say thank you for looking after my cat -pear blossom. Thank you.

Took my dogs for the Summer Smiles promotion. Was told one dog needed some teeth removing. The Nurse did some calculations on the computer and showed me a price around £450 (can't remember exactly) but she did say it could go up to £600 during procedure. Took him today for procedure. On arrival was shown a form saying costs were £872. Took his lead and walked out. How can I be given a price in the 400's last week and be told this week it's near 900 ?? Sad day when you feel like even the vets are scammers nowadays. RESPONSE to Kirkby vets reply: There was no 'consultation' that morning. The Nurse gave me a form to sign (didn't say what it was) I noticed the £872 and questioned her about it telling her my quote was £450 (maybe up to £600 if more teeth needed removing) She checked the computer then again gave me the form pointing to the £872 saying that's what it is. That was the sum total of our conversation, which I would not call a 'consultation' She didn't even look at my dog. At that point I left, and my trust went with me. I took my dog to Animal Trust Vets and was quoted a fixed price of £419 regardless of how many teeth were removed. He had 4 removed and a scale & polish for the £419 quoted.

Just under £370 to put our baby girl to sleep. Yes the vets were understanding, she was treated with such respect. That is where it ended, firstly my wife was quoted £189, then on payment £370, well just under. All vets in the local area charge so much less. WHY.? Added review as you can see a customer was lied to about the price of his dogs teeth. Kirkby vets great service, just robbery of their customers you ARE LIARS.

I can not thank the staff I have had the pleasure of dealing with enough. Rigby is a handful being a GSD who is quite fearful. They accomodate my requests of parking lot appointments where Rigby has more space, they listen to me with how I ask them to approach Rigby. The Vet today and nurse were amazing and listened to everything I asked. Rigby for the first time in a long time had a physical examination and vaccine without any scenes. They also cleared the waiting room of cats and barky dogs which set Rigby off to weigh him. Most of all I appreciate their attitudes towards different training tools in which we train Rigby with, they might not necessarily agree but they respect that's my trainers way and for Rigby it's working wonders. Reactive dog owners don't need judgy Vets towards tools used ( we left another practice due to this). Great practice, amazing staff. It's my mission to help Rigby know the Vets is a positive place and not to be scared.

My Willow isn’t well and needs regular check ups. Not very understanding at first during Covid-19 and have more recently given me the impression that there are more and more vets and I never seen the same one twice. Some of them read the notes and others don’t and the ones that don’t just want to deal with her teeth and ignore the brain issue that Catherine Diagnosed. The place is just not the same without Catherine and I don’t feel supported at all. My beautiful cat needs care not judgment. UPDATE. The practice manager has been in touch and has reassured me and worked to help with a solution to assist Willow. We will see how it goes but maybe it’s just a few locums that have a different view and it isn’t the view of the practice
