Vets at Bretby opened in August 2025 and is located at Planters Garden Centre in Bretby. They are an independent, purpose-built veterinary practice, allowing them to focus fully on providing personalised and compassionate care without compromise.

Having been our Vet of choice where we lived, when he opened his new Vet practice we happily travel a 90 mile round-trip each time for Kieran to treat our beloved French Bulldog girl. She has recieved the most amazing care from Kieran and his team from the compassionate and dedicated - not to mention caring and genuine Vets. The Veterinary Nurses and the reception team are the best I have experienced in my 60+ years of pet ownership. Sadly recently our precious girl succumbed to a rare form of Skin Cancer and Cushings following months of treatment to keep her comfortable. We want to thank you Kieran, Kathryn and Anna for that precious time we had with her. When the sad time came to say goodbye to our girl, the kind, dignified way this was done with such genuine care was amazing. We love you guys. We wholeheartedly recommend Team Vets at Bretby.

Yesterday we took Daisy, our 12 year old pointer to Vets at Bretby for the first time. She is quite nervous of new situations and I had mentioned this when I made her appointment. Kieran came into the waiting room and spent time with her before she went into the consultation room. He was very kind and gentle with her and she was far more relaxed than she has ever been at any vet appointment. We were so pleased that we transferred to this practice (based on recommendation) and we will be sharing our positive experience with other pet owners.

Mabel, my 11 month old cockapoo went to the Vets at Bretby for her spay yesterday. Massive thankyou to Chloe, who was great with Mabel (and me!!) before Mabel went for her op. She answered all my questions and made me feel at ease about the whole procedure. Thankyou to Kieran, who carried out Mabel’s procedure, she was clearly in safe hands. And thankyou to Lauren, who called me when Mabel was done and handed Mabel back over to me when I collected her. I thought the fact you rang to check up the next morning was really thoughtful and showed the care that the team put in even after the procedure was done.

I can’t say enough good things about this veterinary practice. Ozzie my dog needed dental surgery, and they were able to see him and take care of everything within 24 hours, which was such a huge relief. The whole team was incredibly kind, caring, and reassuring throughout the process It’s never easy leaving your pet in someone else’s hands, but their compassion and clear communication made all the difference. They treated Ozzie like he was their own, and it truly shows how much they care about the animals they look after. I’m so grateful for the amazing care they gave him and would highly recommend Vets at Bretby without hesitation

I recently found myself struggling to get an appointment for my tortoise, Flash, at any of my local vets. Vets at Bretby were the only practice able to accommodate us quickly, and I’m so glad they did. Flash was seen promptly on both visits, and the two vets we met were absolutely fantastic, knowledgeable, gentle, and genuinely caring. The experience has been so positive that I’m now seriously considering moving my four cats over to Vets at Bretby as well. The only thing giving me pause is the extra distance compared to my current practice, but the level of care we received for Flash has definitely set a new standard. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a practice that truly goes above and beyond.
