I would NEVER recommend vets4pets, they were responsible for the death of my very very loved bulldog Dave who went in for a routine castrate and passed away. CCTV footage shows the vet sitting on her phone ignoring my dog "waiting" for him to be calm enough. Tiny hot room with no ventilation. Very distressing phone call, they didn't even bother to learn my name before telling me my dog had passed. Was not told my dead dog was laid on the table when told to go into a consult room. Was more interested in charges than the fact that my dog had passed away in their care. Tried to get even more money from us by charging resuscitation and fancy cremation options. I asked for a full investigation, i do not feel that happened as they did not ask why there was no common courtesy of looking up a pet owners name before phoning to tell them their life has been torn apart and their baby is dead. VERY COLD VET!!!!!!!! i will NEVER bring any animal back to any vets4pets. They are more interested in money than the health and well being of the animals in their care. DO not shut animals who are squishy faced in a hot room being ignored before they are put on the operating table that does not calm them.... she was just sat on the phone. Disgusting you have torn my heart in two

Mila was really unwell, and the team at Vets4Pets Blackheath were amazing. Everyone is so friendly, caring and professional, they truly go above and beyond. The prices are fair and transparent, and the level of care is honestly the best I’ve experienced. So grateful for everything they’ve done for Mila. Highly recommend! 💛🐾

Extremely poor organisation and no consideration for animal welfare. I have had a consistently bad experience with this practice and would not recommend it, especially for cats or animals with chronic conditions. My cat is diabetic, and on multiple occasions I have had issues with the supply of insulin and syringes due to the practice’s complete lack of organisation. When an animal depends on daily insulin, this is not a minor inconvenience, it is dangerous. The practice also shows very little understanding of how to handle stressed cats. There is no attempt to adapt procedures or minimise stress, despite this being basic and well-known in feline care. The final straw was a recent blood test appointment. I was instructed to administer a sedative/relaxing medication to my cat the night before the test. On the morning of the appointment, after the medication had already been given, I was called and told that the laboratory would not be collecting samples for two days due to the holiday period. This information should have been communicated when I called to request the medication, when I booked the appointment, or at the very least before I was asked to drug my cat for no reason. I had also clearly informed them that I would be travelling for two weeks. The proposed “solution” was to proceed anyway, send the blood later, and if the sample was no longer valid, repeat the test, at my expense. In other words, I was expected to pay twice because of their failure to plan. This practice feels extremely money-oriented and poorly managed, with little regard for the stress, safety, or wellbeing of the animals in their care. I am deeply concerned for pets whose owners may not realise they deserve better.

Really wanted to write a review as I've always had the best experience at this location. Took our kitten to be neutered recently and the staff here have been so accommodating, helpful, kept me in the loop and let me know about every detail of the procedure and how it went. When we called for some advice the next morning they went above and beyond to help and put us at ease. Thank you so much!

I couldn’t be happier with the care my pet received at Vets4Pets. The staff were incredibly kind, patient, and professional throughout the entire visit. They took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure my pet was comfortable and well looked after. It's clear they genuinely care about animals. Highly recommend Vets4Pets for anyone looking for trustworthy and compassionate veterinary care!

We've had a wonderful experience at Vets4Pets Blackheath with our spaniel - for vaccines, parasite treatment, help with long term hip problems and help with a swallowed sock! The staff are always so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Millie especially has gone out of her way to befriend our pup!

“I’ve had such a positive experience with this veterinary practice. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome and reassured. The vets are knowledgeable and genuinely caring, taking the time to answer all my questions and explain treatment options thoroughly. They always go the extra mile to make sure my pet feels safe and well cared for. It’s clear they love what they do, and that gives me real peace of mind. I would wholeheartedly recommend this practice to any pet owner looking for professional and compassionate care.” A big thank you to Denni & Niamh that are always calming my dog Bobby down every time they are in duty.
