If you need help out-of-hours, call your local Vets Now branch and they will provide advice over the phone and advise whether you need to bring your pet into the clinic for immediate treatment.
If you have pet insurance you should also bring your policy details. All or some of the cost of treatment, and any consultation fee, may be reimbursed by your policy.

Our cat ‘Bluebell’, required emergency attention on April 19th, outside of our registered vets opening hours. During a time of deep anxiety, stress and sadness, the appointed Vet named Ulrika, absolutely astounded us with her genuine and sincere compassionate demeanour. Highly professional, and caring, providing the highest level of care for our 15 year old cat at the end of life. Vet, Ulrika took our beloved cat to prepare it for euthanasia, we waited quite a few minutes to be invited into the room for a final goodbye. I cannot thank or commend Ulrika enough, not only was our cat calm and peaceful, however cleaned, tidied and brushed - that is clearly demonstrating caring, attention to detail at the highest of levels., please kindly forward this feedback to her on our behalf, THANK YOU Ulrika, and all the team.

First time back at Byres after many years and so pleased to return. Only few minutes wait and the vet was really friendly and even made a big point of interacting with my six year old granddaughter. Separate waiting areas for cats and dogs means a stress free environment and all staff were welcoming and friendly. Would highly recommend.

I took my poorly tortoise here a few weeks ago. They were absolutely amazing!!! I was met with such a warm and friendly welcome from all. Everyone was so lovely and couldn’t do enough for you. All my options were explained so well. We had talks about cost and budget so nothing came a shock. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a vet!
