Felt like a conveyor belt system focused on making money rather than actual pet care. The vet completely missed a wound on my cat during the appointment, only for me to discover it later myself. When I raised the issue, I was told I’d need to book and pay for another consultation to have their mistake looked at. Really disappointing experience and not the level of care I expected for my pet.

I recently went to this vet with my Pomeranian as she was displaying signs of pain. I don't use this vet normally, but I decided to give them a try as the matter was urgent and they are very local, my mum does occasionally use them too but I can't speak for her experiences. I was seen by Gemma and as soon as she put her hands on my dog she told me she was fat, never heard this from my own vet before and I honestly didn't know what to say since we routinely go on 3-5 mile hikes every week and my dogs are all show dogs, so they have to be in perfect condition. Next, I mentioned that my dog was an import from Taiwan, I was scolded and told I should have been upfront about that. I asked why, because my regular vets do not care that 5 of my 7 dogs are imported from all over the world. Apparently ALL dogs who are/were imported need a canine brucellosis test before being seen by this practice. So this includes imported show dogs, rescue dogs such as Romanian rescues and surely dogs which have travelled on holiday to other countries would count too. The issue is that the chances of a false positive are highly likely for this test and one of the possible outcomes is euthanasia. So she refused to have any of my dogs back at the practice in the future and sent me away with painkillers and no offer of further tests to find the source of the issue I went into the practice with in the first place. During this appointment I was also grilled for my dog not being up to date on all of the normal vaccinations, which is a personal choice. I am not interested in over vaccinating my 2kg dogs. And was then accused of not taking my dogs for checkups when I said my dog had never been seen by a vet for any problem before apart from once at an emergency vet a couple of years ago, but they go every year for checkups, I was talking about health problems. I couldn't really get a word in and was made to feel like an awful owner every time I could get a line in. Anyone who devotes their entire lifestyle, home and time to their dogs knows how I would have felt when I got home and had time to think over that appointment. Skip forward to the evening and I got an appointment with my regular vet, was told that my dog is not fat and is actually quite fit for a pomeranian as usually they are just kept as "house dogs" unlike mine. They do not ask for dogs to be tested for canine brucellosis if they are imported before seeing them, nor do they grill their clients about vaccinations, they just advise and listen to their concerns. The issue we attended for was properly looked at and we discussed further steps to diagnose the cause if it should continue. So all this being said, I don't think I'd be taking my dogs back to this practice even if they were welcome here. Photo of my fat dog below on one of our many hikes.

I have been begging to register my dog with them and enrol on the complete care plus plan and they haven't added me as customer. I have filled the form, sent email, went to the vet to make clear that I would like to enroll on the plan, it's more than a week now and nothing was done. I have never seen so much dismissed people with a customer. My dog needs an appointment, I have asked to book an appointment despite of the plan and they also refused to book saying that my dog is not registered with them but they keep postponing to register my dog for days!! I am speechless with their service.

Took my lovely cat Simon to them. First time experience was fantastic. The reception team are very professional and positive. The vet herself was very informative, answered all my questions happily and made me feel very comfortable about my cat. Treated my pet with love and care and I really appreciated this. I would 100% recommend them. Prices are also reasonable.
