  Visited this practice, with my much loved little dog, for the first time. We were made very welcome and put at ease in this new situation. Paisley, the vet, attended to my dog, she was very caring and attentive, it was obvious of her expertise, knowledge, but what really came across, was her kind approach to my very elderly chap. Thankyou Paisley.

  We took our cat for her 6 monthly check this week and met the new owner at the same time. She was friendly knowledgeable and shared how she wants the practice to move forward. It felt like Starkholmes vets were back to their old friendly selves with good service. Please don’t be put off by it being Medivet think more of whose running it and the service they are gong to provide also pricing is reasonable and in line with other vets in the area and its always reassuring to know Alfreton is available if you need emergency care.

  Lovely vet and got us in really quickly. also really helpful receptionists as they could tell my girl was anxious and offered some advice on different calmers so she dont have a terrible experience. super happy with the service.

  We are currently on an 8 week road trip and away from our usual vet who is part of the Medivet network. We called into Medivet Matlock for a repeat of antibiotics for an abscess which they readily sorted for us. But the Vet (Paisley) also reviewed our notes and gave us an opinion on possible treatment for our dog’s Kidney condition. They ordered us in some medication which we picked up a couple of days later. We were so grateful for the no fuss, no drama, nothing is a problem attitude of this practice which appears to be an ethos shared by their reception team too. Honestly it was a complete dream liaising with them.

  The practice is now being run by 2 permanent vets.We attended this morning with our greyhound for her annual health check and vaccinations.We were very impressed with all aspects of our visit. There is an open day on Saturday 7th February 11-1 to give people the opportunity to meet the new vets and look around the practice.

  Excellent service. Paisley made myself and more importantly Ella feel totally at ease and relaxed. She went into great detail around her history and came out with a treatment plan that not only suited Ella but was also very competitive on price. I would highly recommend Medivet Matlock, especially Paisley. Again thank you.

  Absolutely amazing care of my new 'older' lady who hasnt had the best of life previously. My little one had the full attention and was put at ease by lovely Katy and the team ❤️ Well done Wicket 👏 and look at the transformation since coming into the care of a good team. She is now thriving.

  We have a great big challenge of a Labrador with too many issues to list!🫣 Anxiety & fear is a key issue. The care, patience and soothing kindness vet ‘Katy’ showed to both Teddy and us was exemplary ❤️ the appointment was literally night & day compared to our previous visit. She listened, understood our difficulties and went above & beyond to help us. After some research, we are now trialing a new meditation for Ted that will hopefully make a happier, more relaxed life for all of us🙏🏼 We are so thankful to this lovely young lady for going the extra mile and treating our goofy boy so brilliantly 🐾🫶🐾
