We have been using Scarsdale Vets at Pride Park since moving back to Derbyshire in 2024 for our 15-year-old cat and 14-year-old dog. Our cat has health issues that can quickly turn into emergencies, and Scarsdale has been amazing. The care they provide is second to none; I’ve never felt that unnecessary tests or treatments were suggested. The compassion they showed us during a stressful time was wonderful, even allowing us to visit him in a small, quiet room. Routine check-ups are also incredibly easy to book, and the reminders are very useful. They are equally fantastic with our dog, who is anxious after being attacked when he was younger. The staff never rush him, and they kindly let us wait in the car until they are ready, coming out to get him when it's our turn. The only very minor negative experience we had was waiting 45 minutes for medication once. The pharmacy's label printer was broken, meaning they had to hand-write labels, but reception unfortunately didn't communicate the delay to those of us waiting. Despite that one-off communication hiccup, I would always highly recommend this practice!

We took our cat, named Cat in with a suspected urinary blockage, which can be fatal. The front desk staff were lovely, they helped us with our finance and insurance and went above and beyond to help us, the vet care when booking in was stellar as they were very clear and communicative about issues. When we got the call to come pick him up a few hours later, the level of detail given to us on the phone about his care and furthermore the level of tests and care given for the price is amazing. They went above and beyond to explain so much to us about what testing they’d done and what had been done!! Then on collecting him, they were quick to see us and gave us such detailed information (we have had a blocked cat before so have a lot of experience with it) even things we didn’t know like that certain types of urinary food treat different types of crystals- like I said, above and beyond. They gave us a calming cat going home kit, detailed information on UTIs and blockages, and went over it verbally. They even will do a follow up appointment in a week with Cat. My cat was chirpy and cuddly with the vet letting her scratch his chin when we arrived despite being very scared and hiding under clothes in his carrier when we dropped him off. I wish we knew people’s names for the review, but both vets we spoke to, the veterinary nurse staff, and the front desk staff were all lovely, clear, and helpful. Just above and beyond service, really impressed as a multi-cat owner of years!!

I get refered here by my vet. It has huge facilities & equipment. Large spacious area to queue & wait. Lots of parking space & 24 hour emergency facility. The receptionists were very friendly...great drinks machine! The consultation & treatment was excellent...as was their communication with me. You need to make sure that your insurance will cover your pets condition as the cost of this service doesn't come cheap. You will be required to pay an amount upfront for treatment, and consultation.

Took my Mabel in for her yearly health check and injections. Had an absolutely fantastic appointment thanks to Debria Smith. She gave a fantastic experience reassuring me of any concerns that I had and best of all giving my Mabel a clean health check. Debria was caring, compassionate, friendly and professional. I left feeling reassured and that my Mabel is health and well. If anything ever happened to Mabel I would want her to be treated by Debria. I would highly recommend going to Pride vets and also have the plan that they have. I pay each month and it covers the cost of Mabel's treatment for fleaing and worming and health checks well worth it for peace of mind. Again massive thank you to Debria Smith from me and Mabel

Our beautiful baby Willow lost all use of back legs, she was in an horrendous sorry state. Went to our local vets who suggested she may have a slipped disc. They phoned Scarsdale and within a couple of hours we were in a room with Flora, a neurosurgeon. They went through everything with us every step of the way. Willow had MRI which concluded that she had a slipped disc pressing on her spinal column. Flora phoned us and explained everything including the surgery she needed. We could have lost her. We didn’t. They saved her life and now she is expected to make an amazing recovery. Flora was amazing, the staff were amazing everytime we phoned them and they phoned us. We got our baby girl back. At 4 years old she is going to have her full life ahead of her. Thank you to all the team who looked after her. Thank you to Flora the surgeon, the whole of the surgical team and thank you to willows nurse Racheal who took such amazing care of her. What an amazing and outstanding team you all are. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
