As a retired vet nurse I can comfortably say this practice have been excellent with both a 10 week old puppy in our rescue and my own very nervous dog. The puppy’s welfare concerns were seen to and we had great advice and support. Our own dog was seen on the floor due to having had a bad experience at another vet, and the very pregnant vet went above and beyond to reassure him (and see him on the floor) and ensure a happy, stress free visit. He had bloods drawn and the receptionist checked on me assuring me he was stealing hearts in the back and they all adored him. The vet was honest he’d blown a vein and they had to stop the bleeding, (which happens) and he showed no signs of stress in fact for the first time ever he came out from the back of a vet clinic tail wagging and happy. A kind, friendly and professional practice for canines!

We cannot recommend Vets for Pets in Canley highly enough. We inherited our dog Tiny from an elderly family member. She is an older, uninsured dog and was sadly diagnosed with cancer, so this has been a difficult time for us as new dog owners. We were quite honestly unsure what we were doing at first. The care and treatment we have received has been exceptional from the start. Monica, the vet, has been outstanding, knowledgeable, compassionate, and always clear in explaining options. Zoe, the nurse, and Gemma on reception have also been brilliant, along with the rest of the team. Every interaction has been kind, supportive, and genuinely caring. The team go out of their way to make both us and Tiny feel comfortable. The surgery is always clean, well maintained, and has a calm, friendly atmosphere. Tiny actually enjoys going, especially with the extra fuss and attention she gets. We’ve felt supported throughout, and it is clear the staff truly care about the animals they treat and the people who bring them in. Thank you to the whole team for everything you’ve done for Tiny.

Took my dog for his annual vaccinations and the staff couldn't have been nicer. My dog is normally quite nervous at the vets but they were patient and friendly and quickly put him at ease. All the staff, receptionist, nurses and vet were very professional and helpful. A completely different experience from our last vet and will definitely be returning

As a regular Walsgrave customer with 4 cats it was such a pleasure to visit the Canley practice..My baby girl was in for dental treatment and needed quite a few teeth removing. I was seen straight away which means a lot to me as my baby gets very stressed in the basket.. The resident vet Monica deserves huge praise for the way she looked after my cat. Straight away she made me feel at ease and explained exactly what was going to happen that day. Now my cat is as happy as ever which means everything to me. All the staff are very friendly and I will always use them again.

I took my dog, Junior, to Vets for Pets for his annual vaccinations, and we had a great experience. The receptionists were really friendly and welcoming, which put us both at ease right away. The vet and nurse were incredibly patient and gentle with my anxious dog, taking their time to make sure he felt comfortable throughout the visit. I really appreciated their care and professionalism. Highly recommend!

This is a new practice and I am so pleased with them. The staff is absolutely brilliant: from the kind receptionist to the vet nurses and the veterinarians. They are so sweet and careful with my cats, very open and clear about costs. They listen, discuss everything we can do, and never judge. Very pleased and always happy to go. Thank you for taking care of my babies 🩷 X Jo, Clive Jr. , Miss Jill & Miss Lunafreya 🐾

Super kind and helpful staff. Monica was very knowledgeable and treated my cats with great care and attention. It's a new facility currently, with a calm and quieter atmosphere so I would recommend for pets who need a more chill environment. By the end of the checkup my cats were happy enough to be chilling out as if they were back at home. And also thanks to the lady at reception with the tortoise whose name I didn't catch but who was very helpful sorting me out with a pet plan and insurance.

I’m not quite sure why there is a negative review here (seems to be from years ago), but my experience has been completely positive! I believe the practice may have reopened (or is newly opened), and the team there have been nothing but friendly and welcoming. I’ve already brought my puppy in a couple of times as a first-time dog owner, and each visit has been great. The vets have always been patient, kind, and gentle with my pup — and he absolutely loves the staff! And the staff love my puppy too! They always gather round to see him! It’s never been too busy when I’ve gone, which is a big plus compared to the Walsgrave Clinic that barely has any availability (When I needed to book my puppy’s vaccine quite quickly, they had nothing for weeks, I’m talking almost a month). Even though this clinic is a bit further from my home, it’s been worth the extra drive for the calm atmosphere and caring team. Highly recommend!
