Having read some of the negative reviews and how they were dealt with, particularly the breed discriminatory focused one that was recently posted that I have decided to not register with this practice and instead register with another local, independent practice that also does it's its own 24/7 care (considerably cheaper too). Breed shaming is something you expect to be documented by a tasteless news article, not a veterinary professional. Your responses to negative feedback also leaves a lot to be desired? Might I suggest PR and management training. This has highlighted the importance of researching ALL reviews prior to registering with just any vet that claims to be compassionate and available 24/7.

I will highly recomend this vet practise. I found the whole team very thoughtful considerate and very helpful. My first experience was when my cat Lotti had to get a leg amputated. Everything went well from consultation to surgery and when her leg got infected totally my fault they done everything for her I was supper happy. I recently had to get 2 dogs pts Cassie in June and Bella in December and the team were so nice and caring everyone was there from opening doors comfort and compassion. The little memory package they do is a lovely touch a paw print in a nice card and hair clippings in a little jar is so nice I’ve found some comfort in having those. The nurses do this of there own accord and there is no charge it’s a really very lovely thing to do. So thank you team Westport for taking great care of all my babies ❤️

We always get a fantastic experience when we come to the Vet with our wee pug, Ollie. They really have a naturally caring and bespoke approach to your pets needs and I wouldn’t normally post reviews but I really do think they’re that good. All the staff are fantastic, friendly and helpful and we always feel like Ollie is in good hands when he goes in for procedures. His most recent dental and routine vaccine appointments handled mainly by Andrew, Rachel and Lauren in particular have been amazing from start to finish with him. It is always a pleasant trip out and we highly recommend Westport. Thanks guys!

We had issues with our previous vets when they changed building and our Jack Russell became extremely anxious and stressed in the new premises. We had Westport recommended to us and went along. The First visit , or dog was still stressed and we were taken to the cabin outside which is more homely. They told us of the confidence clinics they run to help animals become comfortable with the staff and the treatment rooms. We met with Lucy the vet nurse and she worked with Myka over 6 appointments. The transformation form an anxious little dog to the dog that we know and love and loves to get attention from people returned. We can't thank Lucy enough for alll her care and help they have shown Myka. We pop in every couple of weeks for a few minutes to keep her used to the building and Myka is now towing us in to the building, probably hoping to see Lucy 😁 We can't recommend Westport enough when it comes to service and their care for all the animals that come through their door.
