Other than the lovely receptionist Courtney the whole practice is a joke! My dog was refused antibiotics for a lymph node infection because we were going away, which then burst and had left a hole in the side of his face! When we first attended an appointment we pointed out about our dogs swollen gland. We were going away 5 days later so the vet refused to give him antibiotics because we could not take him back in 7 days, although we categorically stated we wasn’t travelling till very late on the 5th day so we would bring him in as a check up but no this was not good enough, and because the vet “Ana” deemed that as our dog didn’t seem to be in any pain and was eating and drinking as normal he could wait till we got back. Well when we was away the swelling burst leave a huge hole in our dogs face!!! As soon as we landed back in the UK we rushed him straight down to the vets who then issued antibiotics and pain relief for just shy of £140, then they proceeded to tell us that it would cost a further £700+ for our dog to have his face stitched!! If it wasn’t for their pure negligence and refusal of antibiotics we would not have been in this situation in the first place!!! I put a complaint in almost straight away but had to wait over the response time as the practice manager wasn’t available! Upon finally speaking with her we were told that the vet stated in her consultation that we refused antibiotics which is a blatant lie!! When I mentioned about checking the CCTV in their consultation rooms which would hear the conversation the response I got was “they no longer have this and have a camera is now turned towards the wall as it is no longer active for consult rooms” which is extremely convenient for them!! Absolute joke of a vets and clearly aren’t there for the animals it’s just all about money! They are point blank refusing to take any responsibility for what they have done to my poor dog!! Never again will I use them!! Stay well clear!!

I have previously posted about my cat Maya and the experience I had with the out of hours service. However I have recently also faced terrible service with my other cat Mowgli. I brought Mowgli in for a weight check a few months ago. He had always been a big cat 6-7kg, but had lost almost half his body weight (around 2kg) with noticeable signs of muscle wastage. The nurse did notice he was feeling a bit ribby and took him out the back for a brief word with one of the vets. They came back and I was told Mowgli was at a healthy weight and to bring him in again in a month’s time for another weight check. I brought him in on July 29th, where his weight had dropped further by about 300 grams and was told a bit underweight but nothing worry about because I was trying new food which he liked, despite the clear muscle wastage, and offered a blood test. if the weight continued to fall. On this advice I agreed to continue to monitor for another month. Two days later a friend visited and noticed a large lump in his stomach. I booked him into another vet today, his weight has dropped further (3.6kg) and they have confirmed that he has a tumour. He’s booked in for a scan next week but the outlook does not look good. I find it incredible that a non trained person spotted a tumour so easily but a trained practitioner did not (I doubt that it grew from non existent to being physically noticeable in the space of 48 hours) and that the overall large drop in weight loss or general condition that he was in (spine and hips being prominent) did not trigger warning signs. Update: The new vet did what they could, including a blood transfusion from Mowgli’s brother to stabilise him for surgery. However the tumour was too advanced and Mowgli died a few weeks later on August 22nd. With thanks to the new vet I was aware that he had limited time left and able to make sure that I made the most of it with him.

I couldn't get an emergency appointment with my Veterinary doctor for my cat Winnie that got into a fight and had his tongue slashed in half. This vet practice was prompt, very helpful and agreed to help my cat immediately. They took Winnie in and performed an emergency intervention, he was sent home that evening. The recovery was a little bumpy, but the staff was always very helpful and kind. Our cat insurance covered all the costs, and I cannot thank them enough for saving my furry baby 💖 Highly recommended them! They are caring, patient, knowledgeable and affordable 🥹💙
