This vets is clean and tidy. My dog is nearly 13 years and we have came here since she was a pup. The vets are really professional and advise you exactly the treatment plan and care that the dog needs and gives you a price of what everything costs on your first appointment. All the people who work there from the reception staff to the nurses make you feel comfortable.

Abbey vets are really the best we've ever had for our bulldog, there is no judgement on the breed only love and understanding. Our girl LOVES the vets, and when I say love I mean LOVE, she is never scared, wants to give everyone kisses and knows the love is reciprocated. At her previous vets they were very judgmental of her breed and she was scared, so to see her thrive in this setting is amazing. Right from the reception to the vet nurses and vets, we've never had a bad experience. I know she is always well looked after when she is there (and it's a lot lol). Me and the Pig (Sapphire) love the team at Chester-Le-Street and thank them for all they've ever done for us x

We have an Alaskan Malamute who is nearly 11 years old, hes very stubborn and aloof! He visits the grooming parlour here every 3 months, and has done for years, Louise is brilliant with him, she knows how to handle him, I wouldn't take him anywhere else, highly recommended.

Had an emergency with my daughters dog who was staying with us and not close to his own practice. Rang Abbey as they are my dogs practice ,they saw him immediately, his care was outstanding and I believe they saved his life. I wouldn't go anywhere else

The staff here are second to none. From vets to receptionists, they are all very happy to see our dog Falkor. Without their help and support, our Falkor wouldn't he the happy dog he is today.

We have been using abbey vets for many years for our three labradoodles. They are passionate about their patients and always go the extra mile to make sure their health and wellbeing come first. The downside of any professional service is always cost, even a 15-minute appointment cost upwards of £50, I just wished that vets had a more affordable fee structure. Still no complaints, we would happily remortgage our house for our boys well-being😁
