I recently went into the centre to ask for advice last year and I was appalled by the cleanliness of just driving into the centre. For example, poo sitting on the road that no one picked up, just overall the lack of hygiene in the centre and organisation in the reception. It also came across that a manger did not want to help and came across cheeky. I feel sorry for these animals that need to live in these conditions after already coming from a bad background.

2 stars goes to the officers who genuinely care about their job and act accordingly. Minus 3 stars comes from my enquiry into adopting a reptile, as I was looking to adopt an older snake rather than support the overflowing market. My enquiry was met with the revelation that I may be offered a completely different species of animal and that a volunteer (Not admin or officer) would need a full tour of my house... I don't know how to politely say this, but a random stranger, with little background checks, really doesn't need to see my bathroom or dubious bedroom for a corn snake... who's vivarium is in the living room... You are judging my ability to care for an animal, not my anime figure collection or dishevelled house plant. It's invasive and undermining, putting off so many folks from adopting animals from organisations like this. For a dog, cat, horse- I understand, for a snake, well I doubt the little one would be fussed about the state of my shower drain. But a human would. Adopt don't shop they say? Well, My local exotics shop welcomed me with open arms. No bedroom tours needed. Usually you'd need to buy me dinner for that.

Went to the centre last Sunday to adopt a wonderful wee kitten and our experience couldn't have been better! From start to finish, the staff was amazing with us, sharing in the excitement. They also answered every question and cleared any doubts we had. The wee one is settling in well, she's absolutely adorable and her and our resident cat are slowly starting to get acquainted. We adopted little Cinders, now called Cleopatra (Cleo for short) and I want to thank everyone again for making this an unforgettable experience ❤️

Got a belter of a puppy at the end of the summer, winderfup nature, the month he was in the SPCA, was obviously good for him. Learned how to go crates, and the end result I git a happy, healthy puppy. Would recommend

A great institution and they are great to deal with. We have fostered a lovely 9 year old cat that we are about to adopt and the process couldn't have been easier. If you are thinking about a cat or a dog then dont think twice. Give a rescue a chance! The reward is unconditional love and affectionate. Do not hesitate and give an animal a chance of a loving home.
