3 weeks ago we knew the time was right for us to say goodbye to our gorgeous 16 year little Tia. Our vets recommended using Vets2Home as we wanted to say goodbye to her at home. I rang them and they were so kind explaining it all to us. Dr Emma came to our home and from the minute she came in she was so gentle and kind,,she sat on the floor next to us and Tia was on my lap,,,,she explained what would happen and spent time talking to us and Tia,almost like she was getting to know her,all the while she was stroking her too. There was no hurry and Dr Emma was with us for 2 hours. When Tia finally went to sleep,Dr Emma put a card out with a beautiful poem written on it and lit a candle. After a while when we were ready she got her bed, placed her blanket in and gently placed Tia in it and tucked her up next to her teddy. She looked so peaceful. It sounds silly but it was a beautiful way to say goodbye. We cant express our gratitude to Dr Emma for helping us make it that way.

We had to part with our beautiful Ruby Tuesday yesterday From my first phone call to our home visit from Dr Jo you could not ask for a more caring and personal service. Ruby left us peacefully with no stress or fear in the familiar surroundings of her own home. Thank you for helping me and my fantastic Ruby through this very hard process.

Our hearts were breaking, it was a Sunday but Dr Jo came out to us, what a beautiful human being, in our deepest grief he was beyond wonderful. Quite simply you will not do better. Your pet deserves this and by using Vets2Home you are being the best pet parent possible.

We used Vets2Home when our beautiful dog Betty had cancer and only a few weeks to live. I always knew I wanted Betty to have a “good” death, at home, not at the vets where she was frightened, so we did a lot of research before making such a heartbreaking decision. One of the most helpful things was their blog about knowing when the time is right. Reading the advice that it’s “better to go a day, or even a month, too early than a day too late” gave us the reassurance we needed to make that decision with love rather than fear. Everything about Pets4Home was exceptional. From the very first phone call, to the gentle communication and text updates on the day so we knew exactly when to expect Dr Emma, everything was calm, kind and thoughtful. Emma took the time to get to know us as a family and explained everything clearly and compassionately. Betty died in my arms, being stroked by my husband, feeling safe and deeply loved. Never has a moment been so terrible and beautiful at the same time. The aftercare was just as moving. From the way Betty was carefully tucked up and placed into Emma’s car with flowers and fairy lights, to having her ashes personally returned to us, along with paw prints and fur clippings. Every detail was handled with such dignity and care. I cannot recommend Pets4Home highly enough. When the time comes for any of our other animals to cross the rainbow bridge in the future, I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

No words can describe our gratefulness at the love and dignity that turned a painful time into a sacred experience. We will never forget the kindness and sensitivity of Emma towards ourselves and our beloved Megan whilst she passed so peacefully surrounded by love, comfort and familiar surroundings. What an amazing service they offer to pet owners that wish only the best for their pets, I am so glad their services are available to us, bless you all so much x x x

A week ago, Dr Suzen visited my beautiful boy at home and the experience - from the first phone call to the Vets2Home team, to the collection of Postie's ashes less than a week later - was truly exceptional. Despite knowing he was reaching the end and letting me know that he'd had enough, making the final decision is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. Dr Suzen was so kind and reassuring both to me and, most importantly, to Postie. She gave us all the time we needed; the process was peaceful and full of love for him and Dr Suzen spent time with me afterwards making sure that he was laid completely comfortably before we carried him outside to her car. He was a big greyhound but he was put into a lovely big bed with plenty of room, a pillow and a blanket and Dr Suzen even left a candle for him with me, which has meant such a lot ever since. Postie was so precious to me and sending him away afterwards was something I really dreaded but when the time came, I had no doubt that he was going be given the utmost care and respect. His ashes were hand-delivered by the team back to his vets and I received a personal text from Vets2Home to let me know he was ready for me to collect. I just wouldn't hesitate to recommend the team and their service to anyone. I know it's something none of us want to think about but there is a huge amount of reassurance in knowing that people like this exist. Thank you so much for making the worst of days as special as it could possibly be.

Today Dr Suzen helped us lay our beautiful cat Max to rest. Having been the heart of our house for 19 years, no ending felt suitable for our sweet cat but Suzen is second to none. She reassured all of our concerns, took the time to get to know our max and administered the sedatives with none of us including max able to see a needle. It really did feel like he was peacefully falling asleep in his favourite spot. Suzen made a day that was always going to be so painful, the best experience it could be and for that I will always be grateful. It really did feel like she was looking after her own. No other service will ever be good enough for our pets and I will be recommending to any pet owners I know in the area. Suzen, thank you for your services, Max is resting easy because of you.🤍
